Homosexuals Get Equal Rights In New Jersey

Last time I checked, I thought The Roman Catholic Church is against homosexual unions and marriages.

Show me where it is infallible.

Besides, most gays are not Catholic.

Not everyone who opposes homosexual marriage is Christian. Why should your (Everyone else in this thread's) Christian-Bashing statements be moral?

Have any of you learned of respect? Many of you seem to be discriminating against CivGeneral and many other people in a much worse way than CivGeneral is explaining his views. Get your priorities state, you fools.

Perhaps you should, as your tone is not the most favorable. Most of the comments that relate to Christianity are directed at CG, however they have some validility in them. There's no reason to discriminate against a group if you simply don't approve of thier lifestyle.

.

I am not bashing christians. I don't think that saying the state should be independent of what the church says is bashing christians.

Then tell your friends to stop discriminating against Christianity.

I can't sit here, and watch a friend be called worse than a Klan member, and be ridiculed because of something that he believes dearly in. I'm not sorry about sounding harsh, but let's shift this thread off of CivGeneral and Christianity, and towards the original topic...

Which I still oppose.

Run, thread, run.

I want Bozo Erectus and his thread back.

It states clear as a bell within the Bible as well as in the Catechism that homosexual acts are immoral and wrong.
One word for you: Shellfish.

Incidientally, www.fstdt.com is where some of your statements belong.

when someone cant form their own opinions and relegates himself to a drone (a hypocritcal one at that) why should they not be called out?

oh, i forgot "ignorance is strength"

Within the Catechism of the Catholic Church as well as what I have found here. I still don't understand how you reconcile with allowing gays to marry but yet the Church opposes same-gender marriage .

CivGeneral said:
Yes, I perfer to keep marriage as a heterosexual tradition and keep it that way. But it is not alright if others discriminate against me or the demographics I belong to. In the context of this thread, its not discrimination, its heterosexualism.
It's discrimination.

You're a hypocrite. Apparently, you have no problem with that.

CivGeneral was making high-handed assessments.
If a person makes imperious statements, he should expect opposition.

PS
Name calling only erodes your claim to intelligent communication skills.

He is not a drone, he made a willing choice to believe in Catholicism. Where's the "drone" in that?

And ignorance is not strength, ignoring people does not constitue strength, it entails an unwillingness to change, a resoluteness to stick to their values.

Is that just another word for homophobia?

Do you have no ability to adapt your viewpoint beyond a book?

And you seek to judge others based on the commands of mouldy parables?

...

Doesn't it also state that women are unclean for 6 days after menstruating? Or something to that effect. Do you make damn sure you follow every restriction and law in the Bible? If you touch a corpse you are unclean until dusk.

And tell your friend to stop discriminating against homosexuals. The topic has not gone onto CivGeneral and Christianity, but CivGeneral keeps bringing up the moral of the Church as a support statement for his discrimination.

He is telling what he feels is morally right. If you are entitled to your opinion, so is he. It just so happens that he is backed by very few on this biased forum.

Changed for the sake of intelligent communication. :)

yes, he is a drone. he can not think for himself and relies on a man across the globe to tell him what to think.

drone.

and how is he not being ignorant by be hmm...."unwilling to change"?

Curt I normally agree with you I shouldn't have dropped down to that level.

Tycoon101 my arguement has nothing to do with Gilder's arguement. I am not his friend in the way you want him to be. If you have a problem with what I say bring it up to me and I will defend myself.

As are we, and it just so happens that we're more open-minded.

There are opposing points! You cannot expect something like this to be unopposed. He has one side of the argument, several others have the other side.

His morals are as valid as your morals, so why do many of you seem to hate him so much?

You still haven't showed me why it is infallible. Pretend I know nothing of Catholicism.
