How is your EU3 Game going?

Minamoto, start as the Shogun, get a ton of influence, create a massive overseas empire, wait until your influence is lower and take out Taira and one of the other Daimyos, form Japan!
(or keep that nice color and take out the last Daimyo, beat up le Ming)

I think I'll go with Trollhemia for my new game :D

I'll do Minamoto after Bohemia, then.

Scotland update!

I'm now a republic! woot woot

As for the ROTW:

-Trollemia be trollin
-Prussia's a beast
-France is leading a personal union with Burgundy (gulp)
-Hesse has gobbled up all of central Europe, everyone there is it's vassal (except the one's who are Bohemia's)
-Castile has conquered central Asia
-Manchu has met them there (also gulp)
-Syria has surprisingly handled itself very well, and has most of the Middle East under it's control, and one Italian province
-Ottomans have also made a surprising resurgence, and now own most of Anatolia

Fun stuff!

I played about 30 or 40 years of Germany and just went on a mad conquering spree. Man, even when you've breached the point of unlimited manpower, and can handle just about anything, infamy is still a major pain in the ass. What's worse are the OPMs (especially Holland in this game) who have really extensive colonial holdings and making me run around all over the world chasing down god damned unfortified colonies so I can widdle them down so I can annex them later in another war . But yeah, the game is basically over now, I'm just conquering as much land as I can get my hands on before 1821.

I've been wanting to play another EU3 game but I'm kind of wondering what nation I should start as. I do like a challenge but not an Incan vs Spain challenge. I'll have to look at the tech rates for the tech groups to give me an idea.

But I also kind of want to wait until a Divine Wind version of the Whole World mod comes out as that looks pretty cool and extends the years into the early 1900's.

As Prussia I finally got fed up with waiting for an heir who 1) wouldnt die and 2) who wouldnt suck. Being stuck with so many bad leaders through this game has really put a damper on development in this game. So I formed Germany as soon as I got the last cores. To hell with those Prussian reforms I say im 3 levels above Austria in land tech anyway:nuke:

And holy does it give a lot of cores:eek:
Which taught me a very important lesson for another time; dont aim for vassalizing and diploannexing the german minors. It is gonna take way too long to get all those territories, when a few wars can give a lot more much faster.

Mazovia is ofcoarse still in my union:rolleyes:

And as you may notice, the British Isles have been a bit balkanized. In one war I managed to get them to release everything except England. And during my war Burgundy and Holland jumped them as well so now their holdings on the continent have either been released or Burgundy has taken them. In the next war with them I am gonna get them to release England:lol:

And a few things which confuses me a lot in the baltic: Riga lives in Livland and Livonia lives in Riga And Swedens only province is the province of Finland while Finland the country controls the rest of finland:crazyeye: I always have to sit back and think about who Im dealing with over there.

And a little world map. The big players are me, Austria, the Ottomans, Muscovy and Portugal with Burgundy on the rise in France(France the country is the little blue spot sandwiched between Austria and Burgundy). GB has been neutralized and Granada has eaten Aragon and Castille:cool: unfortunately they are not muslim but it is fun to see how the catholic Shayrif dynasty has spread to Toulouse.

And here is me and my vassals. As an afterthought I probably shouldnt have colonized so much in Canada. But I do like my Neues Deutschland in Venezuela.

I'm considering ending this game since it has bogged down a lot, but I think I need to have a war with Austria before ending this game since everything has been leading to that confrontation. The only reason I think they havent done anything is because they have so high infamy(I even considered ending the alliance some time ago since they were one point from going over the BB limit and being at war with the world on their behalf was not on my agenda)

And a little comment regarding magistrates: It is really annoying the game resets everything you have used them on when you form a new nation:mad: are there any explanation why that is? because it sucks to have to build post offices and extending my road networks everywhere for a third time to get a decent amount of magistrates.

Allah Akbar! Started a game as Hedjaz. Eventually dominated the Arabian peninsula and fended off a Mamluk intervention. Syria spawned and Aden respawned before I put them under my heal. The good news is that the Ottomans have been neutralized. The bad news is that they were neutralized by the French and we had a -200 relationship with them! Fortunately I eventually got trade up and running and could afford to placate the French with gifts so we're barely in the positive. I'm looking into making a push into Jalayirid and Mamluk to expand my territory and smoothen out my borders a bit, but I'm waiting until I accumulate enough money and I'm concerned about the occasional civil war that pops up, which I can handle. That is if the French don't beat me to the punch. Eventually I'd like to push up into French Asia but I'm lagging a bit behind in the technology race. I'm at 8 Army 8 Navy while the French are at something like 15 for both. I suppose I can make up with a huge army but trade is a bit tenuous around the Indian ocean. Probably I could wait until rebels rise up and form their own nations.

Just got EU3 today, started playing as the Ottomans. I have conquered Candar and the other nation to the south (forgot name)

Just 1 problem. How exactly do you get land units on transports?

move your transports to the sea province you harbour is in and just move your army to your fleet as you would normally do when moving units(remember to check if there is room for your army)
