How is your EU3 Game going?

Well, I don't know how far the Meissen PU goes toward that goal, but maybe. I just got Sardinia as my vassal and took the key ports in North Africa to get the sound toll bonus. I figured I might try to recreate the Kingdom of Jerusalem, since I've never seen that in-game and I have nearly a century to wait before QFTNW and colonization.

In D&T I usually start colonising by 1430 when I'm a coloniser...

Huh, I'll have to reorient my tech priorities. I'll be two to three decades behind, but maybe I can get a naval adviser.

Once you get it you can really ease up on naval tech for a couple decades, generally I go for government or production after that, not spending a dime on naval for a couple decades.

LOLOLOLOL! Today was a EXTREMELY BAD DAY FOR OSMOWSTROYER! Too bad, I spent like 4 hours ( in total 15 hours?) playing as Austria. I was practically a perpetual emperor, then I inherited England! That thing made my self-esteem go up to the space. The great Kaiser Osmowstroyer conquered the Maya, Zapotec and Aztecs.I even defeated a war against France when they had 84 regiments! I was so happy, extremely happy ( I had more than 70 provinces, and 40 cores). But then, those stupid rebels on England started taking all my territory. If I had more cogs, I could defeat them, though they were like 30.

OMG I AM TOO ANGRY! AHHH. OK enough rant, seems like I am really bad playing EUIII.

I just started playing EUIII complete (the version with In Nomine, Napoleon's Ambition), which I bought some time ago. This game is really awesome, and fun. Can someone tell me what I should do to upgrade this. Do I have to get Heir to the Throne and download that, before Divine Wind? Thanks for advice.

Another question when does steam have a sales on things like this. Is it during or right after Xmas?

Just get Chronicles which is Divine Wind.

Will do thank you. Chronicles has it all in one. Then I'll buy Victoria II Gold Edition. With those and HoIII, boredom will not be a problem anymore.

Is it true that you cannot update boxed copies of EUIII or HoI III on steam? I heard this is the case, but they must be losing tons of money. So, if it is true I am surprised by it.

Boxed copies aren't Steam copies. You have to update them manually in any case. CK2 is the only main Paradox game that uses the Steam system.

I may just buy EUIII Chronicles, and HOI III collection. In the meantime I purchased Victoria II. That one looks really good. Has anyone here played that? I downloaded the demo, while I wait for it to get here.

I've got it, but I haven't done anything with it. If you go on Amazon you can download a bundle of games very cheap. When I got Crusader Kings II, I got it in a bundle with like 4 other games. Nice. :)

Victoria 2 is very good with the expansion, A House Divided. Without it there are some glitches that can be quite unnerving. There might be mods though to fix the vanilla version.

And to answer the question about compatibility of the steam and non-steam versions of EU3: There is none; it is either all-steam or no steam. Just buy Chronicles, it should not be too expensive anyway.

Yes it is not much to buy Chronicles. I will also get the expansion for Victoria II, after I learn how to play a bit. Did they make a patch for the vanilla version?
