What is the % of alcohol in you're favorite beer?

Let me explain.

There is some discussion about which countries beer "taste" better.

Here is my thing. I never liked O.E. (as it's known here, Old English) it taste really bad. Now I don't mind it so much because it's 7.5%. - Gets you buzzing quicker on a lower price.

I understand that some people like light beer because it "taste" better but, who really taste it all day? I don't people around here don't anyway. After 3 regular Tecates,Coronas,Hinekins,New Castles,Fat Tires,Sols (my favorites) I don't even taste them really. And they don't taste so bad that they are hard to drink. OE does.

And why would anyone drink a 2.5% drink it cost the same ( like 1 buck per beer) and it takes a whole 6 pack to get a decent buzz going. I can see why someone would like it if they don't drink too much and they can stand the taste of alcohol though.

We usually get 2.5% for the girls to warm up till they move up to shots or something that taste good like Smeirnoff Ice or hard lemonaide ( 5% sweet tasting drinks) ..... I admit to warming up on one or two of those too :p

I admit to having drank less than 20 kinds of beers though - just what's in the store here in Vegas really.

P.S. Everyone who loves to tell us how they don't drink in these threads please save it.

It depends. The better the quality of the beer, the higher % I can tolerate.

So I'm not really sure what to vote. But I'll go with the lower choice since most beer I drink is crap quality.

I voted 4% since New Castle is my favorite right now, I usually bounce between that and the others I listed so 4 to 6%

P.S. worse weekend ever all of my friends ran off to a conference in San Francisco  and I am at home talking about beer on the internet

Well I'm sick on a friday night and home and talking about beer on the internet, so I share your pain.

where's the one hundred percent option? :dunno::aargh::shake::thumbsdown::hmm::run:::deadhorse::splat::faint:

bacardi 151 is 75.5% alcohol - 151 proof
it taste awful though. You know the night is over when girls are asking you to do triple shots of 151 with them .... you would think it was just going to get started, but no. It will knock both of you the F out

One of the best beers I've ever had was Saku Tume, an Estonian dark beer with a really deep malty taste, and it was about 7%. Tooheys Old is my favourite Australian beer and it's about 4.5%. I don't really pay too much attention to alcohol content, beer's beer.

i like a wide variety of beers (*not lager*), my favourites tend to come into the 7-8 abv category. i tried one barleywine (samischlaus) many years back, but i found the taste a bit too sickly sweet.

None, I never drank alcohol other than communion wine.

5% or less for me.

MY LIGHT BEER HAS AN ABV OF 4.2, AND I DON'T FIND IT DELICIOUS. SHAME ON YOU, ELTA AND YOUR MISCONSTRUCTION OF MY BELIEFS!
Noticed the other thread. Miller is your favourite, right? Tasted it once but it didn't made any impression on me ( neither good or bad). Can't say I have any taste though, I usually order "beer" beer when in the pub.

0%, beer sucks

The question is, how much blood do you like in your alcohol stream?

Olde English tastes like cardboard boxes and corn. But if you freeze it enough, you can drink it quick enough to not taste it. Another fun thing about a bunch of Malt Liquors is the cloudiness it gets when you try to freeze it.
