How Tall are You?

5' 10"
145 lbs.

Exercise does not make you taller. Mostly, its your genes (blame your parents and grandparents). Good nutrition also plays a part, but I think that it allows you to reach your full genetic potential. Bad nutrition (and smoking ;) ) stunts your growth.

Short people rock though! Most of my friends aren't taller then 5'6

Nah, it'd suck to be like... Danny DeVito or Tom Cruise or something... damnit, I want to grow soon ¬_¬... it seems like it's been ages since I've grown... could just be me being impatient though.

And hey, you always gotta watch out for those short guys... and lefties <_<

Hitler was short and a lefty! it's an international conspiracy I tell you!

I also hear Stalin, Saddam and... Chairman Mao I think... were all lefthanded... strange... :mischief:

Same here.

Can't say I have much respect for the BMI though, since muscles weighs more than fat per volume unit.

Well... my brother's like... 6' 0" so... here's hoping...

My dad's about 1 or 2 inches shorter I think, though my mother's several inches shorter than me...

Yes I agree with you, and I have my family as example of that, my parents and their brothers are all about 155-165 cm because they passed trough hard times and bad nutrition, as many ppl of that generation. Me, my brother and my cousins, we are all about 175-185 cm.

About 6'1", or 185 cm. I weigh from about 165 to 175 pounds.

A lot of people in this forum are tall. In my grade, I'd probably be in the top 10% for height (I'd be an "average" tall guy).

@Xen: Are you really 6'8"?

I've seen some study that said that if you do sports between 11 and 14 years old it activates the growth hormon and you can become 1 to 3 inch taller then you would be other wise.

If you can find a link, I'd love to read about that.

Damnit! >_< If only I could go back 3 or 4 years...

... at 16 it could make a difference right? right? o_o because damnit, I'm a bored-out-of-my-mind with nothing to ever do insomniac... looks like it's Tom Cruise-osity for me ¬_¬...
