How To: Make Leaderheads! Ekmek's Guide

@veBear

In my experience that bug is always caused by a problem with the kfm file. Either you're pointing to the wrong place for the kfm (ie it doesn't exist), you are missing a .nif with the same name as the kfm file you are using in the same folder as the kfm file (along with corresponding fm files), or the background file you are using breaks the kfm. These are the the 3 main problems I have seen that cause the bug you are experiencing. I suppose it's possible there is something else causing it, but I doubt it, definatly double check the kfm file you are pointing to in the artDefinesLeaderhead file, and all associative aspects of the kfm.

chck your export settings you migt have skin partitions set. but also this is in the trouble shooting section.

Where do I uncheck that? Funny how one little checkbox (or whatever it is) does so much :crazyeye:

Damn Ekmek, you've got yourself quite the little classroom going on over here. Maybe after I make all the new LHs for my mod I should move on to making units or something... I won't have anything to do.

when you export the nif a window with options comes up. the other way is to remove it from nifskope.

How do I remove it from NifSkope? I already have unclicked it in Blender, and done the steps in the Troubleshooting section in the guide, still nothing. I accidentally attached a .kfm file to the leaderhead in NifSkope and saved it, so now in-game I get their profile and they're always friendly :p

We'll always need LH makers and I do need Teacher Assistants ;)

You know I'm on LH-hiatus while I'm working on my mod. When I'm finished I'll be back to help you with these guys again. Although by the looks of it I might not need to come back! Looks like you're training an army.

I really should make a tutorial.

 Ekmek's planning to overthrow someone! Possibly Ah-nuld.

see the troubleshooting section in the manual. If you dont have this section, download the updated version of it. Unweighted verticles seem to be a pretty normal problem.

I can't understand what the troubleshooting means! What can I do?
Ekmek, when you have this problem, please tell me what is the problem!

Somebody help me!:(

Ekmek!

Here is the section from troubleshooting, I can't understand:
"The quick way is to assign everything and every mesh to a bone like a torso then export. If it exports then that good it really is a mesh."
(From Ekmek's guide, page 46)

Can you tell me what can I do?

I'm still having that problem with the invisible leaderhead. They show up at a different angle now though...How do I fix that?

click on the object/mesh that shows up with unweighted vertices. in edit mode, press 'A' and it will all light up. then click the torso bone or whatever bone fits it best and press assign. then go back to object mode and try to export. I'm assuming you understand how assigning works.

just post the thing and i'll get a better idea.

:thanx: Ekmek!
No Unweighted vertices problem!

:confused:But... There is another problem, I don't know how to fix it...

Please help!

What he probably intended for you to do is to post the files for the LH and then in the post itself use the code brackets to post your XML. This way he will be able to tell where the screw-up is.

OK!
Here are all the King Salamon files:

(I want to create a classical era mod, with classical era civs, and animated leaderheads, like King Salamon of Judah!)

I already made one of Solomon, and I am going to upgrade it for my new mod. Just letting you know.
