I went to this awesome party last night and as I was chatting up the birds I find out that one of them litteraly lives 4 doors down from me. Now its not like either one of us moved in recently we've both been there for over 5 years. Now I know the names of 2 people in my 'hood! Its not like I don't talk to my neighbours but I know nothing about them. I find this all strange since growing up I knew all the nieghbours. What has changed? Is it a sociatel change where we just don't care? Is it a urban/suburban thing?

Maybe its just that I don't have a fence.

I don't know anyone in my building except for the 5 people I live with.

How well do you know your neighbours?
Not very well at all. The next door neighbors are friendly enough. Meanwhile, Walky Walkenstien upstairs sometimes looks at me like I have three heads when we encounter each other:dunno:

Bunch of old retired people that I don't really know very well. I mean, I will talk to them outside when I am doing yard work, or when I am leaving for school, but I haven't say, had dinner with any of them.

Right hand side pretty well, left hand side sort of okish.

I only know one of my neighbours.

In the dorms I kinda know the neighbor's next door, not at all accross the hall. I know a few people down the hall.

At home I'm good friends with 2 of the 4 immediate neighbors, know one of the others and very rarely see the last one despite them being there 20 years.

I know a lot of my neighbours. I was very close friends with many of them till the incident and the events that led to it. After that i had to take my leave and go into exile. Because of the events before the incident the unity of our neighbourhood's vandals crumbled. We only say hello to each other nowadays; not a word more.
As for the ppl not my age group i know plenty. I got to know them when i was a kid; after that i don't care about meeting the newer ones.

I only know the Danes in my neighbourhood. My neighbour, for example is Danish like me, and I know him quite well. He is also a teacher at my former school.
Most people in the area where I live are Germans, and I don't know any of them.

By the way, happy 5th anniversary, Perfection! I know it's a few days late, but still...

I used to know all my neighbours quite well, but time wore on and faces have changed. Now I know only some of them.

I only really have one neighbor, and we are good acquaintances.

Here at school, I know everyone on my floor and almost everyone in my building. At home, I know the families on both sides of our house and then about half of the families in various surrounding houses. There's been a lot of churn in the neighborhood recently; I used to know pretty much everyone on my street.

I dont want to know them.....they make weird noises.

I know the next door neighbors real well, they're great people. The rest of the neighborhood is decidedly bleh, so I don't know them.

Nope, invited them around for a housewarming.. got no return invite so ****em!

I don't see the neighbours much.

There is this Christian family two doors down, whose daughter I used to be friends with. We haven't spoken in like 5 years.

Nothing happened, we just never see each other.
