HqNes2 - Fair, New World

Wow. I just realised how little commitment I can make to this NES. Sorry, I'm dropping out. I have to workon ICNES IIb anyway.

Would you be interested in signing a Mutual Protection Pact? 'Cause we sure would.

Hmmm....lets try this again.

We have ridden the south lands from your pestilience rule. Consider this your lucky day- we will offer to leave your people be if you officialy cede us the southern lands and do not establish a presence on this side of the river. Note, that either a refusal or a denial will come at a high cost for your people.

Orders are Coming!!!

Edit: Orders Sent

You seem to be misinformed on several issues. First of all, we have already issued a declaration of war by simply driving your men back across the river. The second is that you have the right to demand anything. You are lucky that we are even considering peace- no nation has yet to survive an Ibeian war, much less remain mostly intact. You do not belong over on our side of the river and what we have done is the correct thing. Accept our offer of peace, remain on your side of the river, and we will not bother you again. Refuse, and well, you're people are not part of ours: we will raze you to the ground with little hesitation.

OOC: Have you read the last update or checked the map? If so, then reread the "Long Live the King" section. I already control the land I wanted and I'm offering you peace- a good deal. You don't even have to pay anything. Not to mention that my army is larger, my training is stronger, and I have a larger economy. You'd be a fool to refuse this deal.

A Look Inside: Greater Ibe

Ia'nea, Iv'ea, I'vae- One people, One state, One rule

Until the time of 784, an all-powerful king ruled over the state of Ibe. A number of kings came to rule over Ibe, ranging from the successful King Idak (who conquered Succubu in 620 AF), to the moderatly successful King Iras (who began the war with Tryan), to the embarassing King Irea (who agreed to peace with the Pithians). Most historians agree that Irea was undoubtly the weakest of them all, and thus, he was the last Ibeian king.

In the spring of 784, King Idrea died of some unrecorded cause and leadership passed onto the head military general, Idrea. Taking the title "Imperator" ("High Ruler"), he quickly reorganized the buly Ibeian army. The most prominent feature of this was breaking down the army into useful groups of nine, led by a tenth. Then ten of these groups were put together under the leadership of a single leader. Ten of those groups made up a 1000 man army which, when ten were added together, made up a Militia. Rather than the lowercased militia, the uppercase was use for refrence.

With the reformed army, the Imperator sent two Militias sent against the occupied land of Slydavia. Under the command of Itan and Itop, the armies worked in preciosion to liberate the land from their rule and return it to Ibe. Itan took his Militia to the southwest and quickly established a border there while Itop raced southeast to set up there. From there the two forces made thier way to the capital of the region, Ibeian Eradu, and by the end of 784, all of the Ivaini (southern land) was returned to Ibe.

Perhaps it would be best to talk why, not how, the Ibeians have been such warmongers in the past. Every war fought thus far has came from a simple, long- held belief of the Isis religion: that Isis herself was once mortal and created a state in the region, a Greater Iber- "Isia-Ibe". It was rumored that the land of Ibe, Taran, Tryan, Pithal, Succubu, and the Slydavian held Ivaini were held by this state. Ever since the collapse of this state, every Ibeian king has dreamt of recreating it and bring glory to Isis and Ibe.

Following the Peace of Eradu (in which Slydavia officialy ceded Ivaini to Imperator Idrea), there was a decision left about who would be next: Taran or Pithal. There were strong clamoring for war with either nation, with some calling for a war with the weaker first, while the others called for an honorable war with the stronger of the two. In April of 785, a decision was made by Imperator Idrea and the populace of Ibe once again prepared for war. In an famous statement, Idrea reportedly stood in the middle of a packed palace courtyard and said "I am here today not to speak on war, but rather peace- one we are all reunited, peace will once again prevail for our people. I ask your support in making this dream come true for now we stand to face the strongest competition yet! Do not dispair with coming of the ides, but rather ride on them to your destination! A'Isis![1]"

[1]"A'Isis"- "For Isis".

end of an era

at the age of 70 emperor Ernest Richards has handed down the control of Imperia to his oldest son, Alan Richards

the former emperor had fallen out of favor with his citzens and had decided to retire with the recomendation of his son and the millitary

his son however has the general support of the people, his first act after being in power was to allow religion to grow and instead of being refered to as emperor he has insisted on being known as "First Citizen" gaining the further respect of the population by showing humility compaired to his father

Ibe seems to be ambitious. I think my NPCs should start to get nervous

Just realizing that ? ;] Trust me, these orders shall be the most in-depth I've done yet. When are they due, btw?

that seems to be going around, these are my first orders that has more than one change within my nation

I think I will be joining as Cironelle. (Mostly because it's the first nation on the list.)

Could I have some details on Aunern as a religion?

Also, looking at the map, I see that I have two black cities, one red-ringed city, and one city ringed in green and white (the green is hard to see, btw!). Since my stats say that Merrine (my capital) is a religious center, I assume it's the one that's green and white (and I suppose the white is for "capital"), and what is the red one? Does it have a name?

I look forward to this! :)

You'd be better of asking Cuivenen as she designed the nation and religion. I'll see what I can dig up on it though.
The green ring is a problem. I'm not exactly sure what to do, but am thinking of changing it to a very bright green and then darkening the green nations a bit.
The red is a normal economic centre. I'll find the name for you. Your nation is heavily forrested. Imagine a nation in the middle of the Swedish or Finnish forests... just with better climate ;) More like Teutoburger Wald. The eco centre is the location for a massive lumber production and also where the metals and stones from the mines are sent.

Just a friendly reminder. Deadline is today in... oh.... some 9,5 hours... or so. Don't forget to include treaties, trade agreements etc in the orders so I can see if I need to add new trade centres.

Erik, I'm still looking for the religion. Don't really have anything on it though apart from the name so you can base it on.... well.... anything ;)
