The soul devourer.
I tried to install the 1.74 patch. I go to advanced and "Check for updates". It tells me that the patch is available, so I choose to install it. It tells me that it was successfully downloaded and that I should click "Okay" to close the game and install it. However, I get told:
"C:\DOCUME~1\Brian~1.CRO\MYDOCU~1\MYGAME~1\SIDMEI~1\Patch\PATCH_~1.EXE
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:0df5 IP:010d OP:65 63 74 69 6f Choose 'Close' to terminated the application".
Whether I choose to "close" or "ignore", the patch won't install. I checked the current build in the game, and this is what I saw:
Civ Version: 109
Save Version: 101
Build Version: 1.0.9.1722 (41735)
Build Date: Tue Dec 06 08:16:45 2005
Build: Final Release
Mod Name: None.
