1) Never mine plains cattle in Despotism. Cattle plains produce two shields already. Mining it will make it hit the Despotism penalty.

2) I think we should take peace with the Babs. We still want that English Iron.

3) What do you think?
 
Hmm, what are the exact penalties in despotism, I know that there are penalties, I dont know how much. Although, we could easily take Babylon with our stack of archers. After that we can make peace.

I think we can take Babylon and go after Enlish after that.
 
Whenever a tile produces more than two food, shields, or gold, it produces one less. Therefore:

Regular plains cattle: three food, two shields.
After penalty: two food two shields.
Mined: three food, three shields.
After penalty: two food, two shields.
Irrigated: four food, two shields.
After penalty: three food, two shields.

If we can take Babylon, then we might as well go the distance and kill them off to prevent flips.

War was inevitable with such little land. I'll try and get us more by getting rid of Hammi and his bowmen.

Note that as he IIRC killed one of our warriors with a bowman, he's in a GA now. A despotic one, but it will still get his production up.

Situation looks good. Except that we seem to be a little low on military... 2 archers coming next turn, though.

We'll need a couple of settlers from Berlin. Dunno when I'll be able to build some, though.

IBT: Konigsberg rax > spear.

1550AD [4]: Need 2 vet archers to kill a bowman, but the second one gets elite.

IBT: Lose the archer to a bowman.

1525AD [5]: Blackout.

IBT: Research writing > horseback riding. We'll be doing a lot of warring and horses are very effective.

1500AD [6]: 4 archers (2 elite, 2 vet) kill 2 spears and one bowman in Babylon. Still at least one bowman there, though.

IBT: Bowman kills archer on mountain.

1475AD [7]: Kill 2 bowmen in Babylon with 3-hp archers and take the city.

Make peace with Hammi for Ur, Ashur, 3 gold, horseback riding, mysticism. nice deal, I think. :D

Start researching Polytheism. We'll want monarchy for warring.

Well, ok. As we are waiting for Tomoyo I'll ask you a few questions:

1) what is our current situation: what do we lack, what do we have over the AI?

2) what would you do now and why?
 
We lack iron.
I would attack and take iron.
 
Good point. Note that we also lack horses which are in open territory.

England is still weak, and a few more archers would propably finish her up...
 
Pre-flight: Increase gold output by 4gpt. Get some Babylonian cities growing. Try to get some more workers.

All my worker actions.. I just cant decide what to do. Any advice?
 
For the worker actions, during my turns, I did not feel like I had enough workers. Irrigate the area around berlin and basically all the plains. We want all our cities working improved tiles, so look inside the cities to see what to improve.
 
900BC [preturn]: Have a look around. Veto some worker actions. Set luxtax to 30% so Berlin won't riot.

IBT: Babylon worker > worker.

875BC [1] - 850BC [2]: Send 6 archers and a spear to kill Nottingham.

825BC [3]: Need only 3 vet archers to kill the 2 spears in Notyingham. We get a slave. Also kill an intruding English spear.

800BC [4] - 730BC [7]: Gathering a mini-SoD of swords and archers and a spear to attack the remnants of England and marching it to the battlefields.

710BC [8]: 3 swords do the job and kill the 2 defenders of Nottingham. Only one city to go.

690BC [9] - 670BC [10]: Destroy Hastings losing a sword. The English are no more. Iroquois are getting strong. We should attack them next. We have some swords in Konigsberg and at the iron colony. I'd collect the attack troops into those two piles and do a double attack into their lands. Berlin is producing swords at a steady pace every second turn, Leipzig every 4 turns.
