If Bush pulled all of our troops out of Iraq, how would this affect the upcoming 2008 presidential elections? To me, it essentially seems like Hillary and Obama are running on the platform that they will fix the Iraq War blunder, and how they will be the one to bring our troops home. However, if Bush did this, it seems to me the entire plan of the Democrats' campaign would be shot and burned.

What are your thoughts? If Bush pulled our troops out what effect would it have on the 2008 campaign?

Not going to happen and it is purely hard to think out-side of the box of hypothetical what-ifs;especially a person such as Bush being stubborn on insisting that way stay in Iraq.

If Bush pulled out of Iraq, then they would move onto other issues. Why should the GOP candidates get any credit for Bush completing a war against an inferior opponent in 5 to 6 years?

The pull out would likely be ugly in that Iraq would still be very violent, but the average American will not care about that. The Republican frotrunners are advocating staying in Iraq, so what would they be campaigning on after a pull out, reinvading?

not really the democrats would be taking the credit for pressuring Bush into getting out of the war so it could boost their chances of wining the national election.
