What if they wore beekeeper suita spray painted purple?
That's most of it.Why do we even find baby animals cute? Is it because they remind us of our own babies which we evolved to endear?

I favor the explanation that young vertebrates have larger facial features compared to their body size than what grown ones do, and that we're evolutionary programmed to like these enlarged facial features because those of our ancestors who did generally took more care of their offspring and thus the offspring had a greater chance of reproducing. Why do we even find baby animals cute? So in our minds, larger facial features are connected to concepts like youth, immaturity, helplessness, innocence and so on. So facial features like large eyes or mouths can often be seen as attractive (another reason is that they show of emotions more easily). Also notice how many types of cartoons will depict the younger/immature characters with larger eyes and other facial features, while the older/wiser characters could be depicted with smaller features.
I'm the same way, although even more so with puppies. Babies are obnoxious, oozing with bodily fluids, and generally ugly. That's most of it.
Except I don't happen to find most human babies cute. I'm a pushover for most kittens, though.
