Igor's LeaderHeads

A black augustus with a suit? Nice idea :goodjob:.
When i come really back to modding, i will probably use it as a generic african leader in my mod :).

You'd better change his background then.

Polynesians do not have skin that dark, not even close.

I agree, it does look a lot like him though, but the skin is way to dark. It just looks kinda like someone poured paint over his face anyway, it doesn't look very natural. Other than that it looks just like him.

I believe this is better.

My twelfth, and probably last LH is done and uploaded- Urukagina (see front page for details). I'm now absolutely free for shader-adding to old LHs.

Hey Igor, since I haven't learned how to shaderize LHs myself I wasn't sure whether or not the texture you used was intentional or not. But I always found it best to use the nonshader textures rather than the diff textures. Anyway I threw this skin together really quickly (I just used the vanilla nonshader textures with the exception of the robe, which I had to do a little work on to get it to look like your original version) so I didn't really change the textures on any of it though (so if you wanted to make his skin darker, for example, you would have to go in and do that part yourself) and I didn't really check it in-game yet to see what the differences would be but if you are interested in getting this texture I'd be more than happy to send it to you (although all you really have to do is copy it over). I think it makes him look a bitter more lively. Here is a comparison from NifSkope. What do you think?

EDIT: By the way, I really like the concept here, it is a really great idea and a really good LH. Puts my Sennacherib to shame in my opinion. While I really like that you shaderize leaderheads, I think your LH-making skills have improved a lot and I think you should resconsider giving it up :goodjob:

I also really like the use of Capac here. It's very original and turned out well. Capo's reskin is also a great addition to the design. I only have two minute suggestions:

1) Fix the hair/crown overlap. I'm guessing that this will either require a revision of the way the top of the head is or a slight alteration/warping of the model.

2) Perhaps add the Julius Caesar vertical sash with clasp, perhaps even to both sides. This would make the robe look really original in style and even less like Capac's.

Please don't take these as criticisms though. It's a great design and definitely better than I could do. (I started one leaderhead, but quickly put it on-hold due to the complexity of the whole process compared to other things that I also needed to do.)

I don't know what you specifically meant by the "crown overlap," but its not clipping, its just some hair hanging over the crown, it isn't a mistake it is intentional and it looks good, you should DL it and take a look at it in NifSkope.

I don't see a big difference between your version and mine. You just made the skin lighter. You can, of course use the NONSHADER file if you want, but if you want to add shaders you need to rename it to the diff file before taking it to Blender.
And actually, your Sennacherib was the inspiration- the idea of taking a completely different LH and making him Mesopotamian. You took Stalin, I took Huayna Capac. Huayna Capac is even easier because you don't need to give him new clothes (and assign the bones and all that annoying process...). The hair and beard are Cyrus', the crown and the things on his hands are from Gilgamesh, the stuff on his beard are Hammurabi's. The most important thing was changing Huayna Capac's facial features- it was easier than with other LH because I could pretty much do whatever I wanted here as there was no particular image I based him on.

I would be interested in the textures - whose textures are that anyway ? ;)

They're just the regular textures from Huayna Capac, Hammurabi, Cyrus, and Gilgamesh, but using the NONSHADER textures (you have to copy them over to the originals to keep the shaders though, you can't rename the texture sources) and the robe I had to do myself so it looked the same. So it isn't difficult for anyone to do on their own really. I won't post them though because Igor prefers his.

Hey IgorS,

I really like the new Sumerian LH and agree with many of the previous comments. My only observation is that, compared to the Firaxis LH, he seems a little far back in the camera view. Compare him to Gilgamesh, for example. Any way to bring the camera forward a bit closer to him?

Cheers,

What does Gilgamesh have to do with it? It is based on Huayna Capac, and that's how he stands. You can try and bring the camera closer in Nifskope if you want. You can read how to do it in Ekmek's guide. I do have to say that in the game itself the screen is bigger and he doesn't look that small or far.
