Imperium Offtopicum: Dunkelheit

In Vietnamese, adjectives go after the noun they describe. So Mùa Đông Vĩnh Cửu as opposed to Vĩnh Cửu Mùa Đông.

And you accidentally switched #2 and #3.

Finally, 'light' in Indonesian isn't 'light' as far as I know. Though I'm sure Reus would be able to speak on it in full detail. :)

On the other hand, the addition of the Crimean and Astrakhan Khanates as well as the Transcaucasian Federation to the Grand Russian Federation has been duly noted, and is greatly approved of.

Yay me.

Note: since my last Semester One exam is on Wednesday morning I will set the full committed sign up details sometime during the afternoon or/and evening.

I will however like to ask whether it would be ok to list African NPCs (like for instance the United Emirates of Libya, the Sultanate of Sudan and the Abyssinian Empire) later on, as well as whether (for fun) there should be the Sultanate of Aragon. I would especially consider thinking whether the Caliphate should have colonies; perhaps a Arabian settlements in north-west Australia, next door to the northern Khmer and Japanese settlements?

I feel like if Kebab's not in Europe, there would be roughly a 0% chance of Aragon being Muslamic.

No offence but if Japan headed west they'd cut a bloody swathe through eurasia not the americas.

Laying claim to all unoccupied South America.

Note to potential new players: if you choose to join in SA, I will drop any overlapping claim.

I'm not actually planning on keeping it.

Government: Parliamentary Republic Unitary State
Head of State: Stadtholder Robin Aarle

Spoiler :
Starting in 1827, the Dutch Confederation began to experience numerous problems. Trade with French North America had ground to a halt, New Netherlands (OTL American South) was experiencing riots over the Dutch government's inability to respond to French & Indian raiding parties in New Netherlands, and the Boers were starting to feel the first winds of independence. Compounded with extensive political rivalries between the Oranje (monarchist) and Republican factions, disorder broke out. For two long years, riots and rebellions rocked the country, with the army unable to contain it; eventually, the government managed to regain control over the nation. With each state in the Netherlands severely weakened from the fighting, the stadtholder declared the Republic to be a unitary state, ending many long years of confederate tradition, declaring that a home with weak foundations would be doomed to fail.

By 1845, it was clear, however, that the days of the Dutch colonial empire were gone. Though New Netherlands still stayed proudly Dutch against overwhelming Yankee influence, the various Boer nations, who had always been an independently minded bunch, began to start shouting of revolution. Attempts at the Dutch Parliament to squash such notions were met with failure and increased frenzy, until, in 1857, the republics united under one federal government. The Dutch-Boer relation limped along for another 5 years before, in 1862, independence was declared. The Netherlands, a shadow of its former glory as an intercontinental empire, chose to make peace rather than fight.

Game will start by friday. Unlike other GMs, I'll allow chat screencaps as fair game in this IOT

Because it's entirely logical for me to honestly say that I want tokinvade every country on the face of the earth and go off on a maniacal rant about it in front of everybody and be completely serious about the entire thing.

I'd rather not have to hold my tongue because it could have in-game consequences. That's just me.

You did see the part where you repeatedly told me you wanted to unite all Germanics, right?
