I find this absolutely hilarious. Here is Domination, a self-declared fundamentalist Christian decrying state religion and using force of arms or even force of diplomacy to propagate the success of the religion (in this case Christianity, even if in a Catholic presence, one that Domination professes to be adherent to). Anywho...

Speaking of which, to check your current income, open the Income and Tech spoiler. The reason some people have seven and some have 11 is due to unit upkeep - some people have armies/navies (which costs 2 gold each), others do not. This is automatically subtracted from your income at the start of each turn. The actual formula is:
Turn Income = (NumberOfTerritories + CivilianTech - NumberOfArmies/Navies x 2) x EffectOfEmbargo x EffectOfPenalty

I'm going to explain how income work one more time. The amount shown in the update is the exact amount you get to spend this turn. The two main things you'll probably be spending them on are civilian tech, military tech, or new armies or navies.

New units are recruited with a lump sum of gold, meaning if an army costs 100 gold, you must have at least a 100 gold income for that turn to buy the army.

Spending on tech, on the other hand, goes into a fund which adds up each time you put gold into it. The amount you have invested in a tech is in the "invested" column in the update table, and the total amount of investment (that is amount already invested + remaining) is the "total" column. The cost towards the next level is always = tech level you're on x 25.

So, if you have 11 gold income each turn, and if you're not expanding, to reach military tech level 2 (cost 25 gold) you'll have to invest 11 gold in military for three turns, a total of 33 gold. Because only 25 gold is needed to reach the level, the remaining 8 gold stays in the military tech fund towards the next level, which is Military 3.

Well, I'm pretty sure Ilduce and Aysee would do the same. I'm just saying "Keep it in Check." Remember, the Crusades caused the Cataclysm that destroyed the world and made the Natives magically be as close to Galleons as the Europeans, meanwhile putting even the Civilized nation of France still nearly all barbarian.

As far as we see history, the former pope did it. I recommend against ANYONE doing it again. Religion destroyed the Earth, the only way we can save it is to make it free worldwide.
