And pray tell, why couldn't you just dock at Sicily when it is in Papal hands, or another Christian nation?

You're reasons do not make sense. Instead, you wish to take what has long since been considered Papal land.

We believe the Greeks have seniority by miles when it comes to claims in Sicily.
We are beginning to grow concerned with the Papal insistence on this issue. In fact, we are becoming convinced that the reason the Pope regards us as in enemy is that you in fact want to attack us yourself.

It is really the most logical explanation. Why would you assume that the reason Morea wanted the islands was to attack you? Why would you then refuse any compromise, the final of which would render Morean control of 1/2 of Sicily inconsequential? We believe our reasons are clear enough.

You are limited to signing one of these per turn, and they have to be publicly stated in the game thread:
- Defensive Pact
- Guarantee of Independence
- Joining Alliance
- Declaration of War

OOC: "Joining Alliance" can be interpreted in many different ways, but seeing as this pledge of allegiance was not stated in the thread, I believe Morea and Eastern Russia are in a Defensive Pact

We wish for Sicily because frankly Sicily has long been our enemy, ally, friend, and rival long before all of us gathered at the world stage. To end this relationship, we must gather together.

We are all Catholics, the Reformation is to come later. I hope I won't be playing it out as too historically accurate.

There is no such thing as "outlawing", nations. I believe the word you're looking for is excommunicated, and this has not happened in IOT V, and might not happen, therefore completely irrelevant.

England is a member of those faithful to His Holiness and the Church He speaks for.
