Compared to myself and the Catholic population, or even the Moslisms to the some-what dual leadership of Egypt/Mali, not really. Out of the four countries, both Morea and the Eastern Russians have stated that they don't recognizes you, and Ethiopia has been tight lipped.

Therefore, the Papal States and myself, His Holiness, Pope Innocent XI will no longer recognizes the Byzantine Emperor to be the leader of the Orthodox church, nor in any way a patriarch.

the patriarch of Constantinople is the most senior orthodox patriarch in this world. therefore i have a legitimate claim to leadership of orthodoxy. should i not recognize the pope, for the same reasons? if not, enjoy your double standard.

i withdrew from the Christian Alliance in protest of the popes opinions about eastern orthodoxy. however...

1. i will still recognize the pope. (who woudlent?)
2. i may listen to him, but i am under no obligation to follow him.
3. i will return to my more or less isolationist stance on foreign policy, so as to not impede anyone. all diplomatic actions will still be done, if they (any nation) want something.
