no they arent repressed. they kept their jobs and everything and they are able to get any job they wish. except government. they get absolutely no representation whatsoever. that is repressive to me.
they are free to leave, but frankly none of them wants to leave. they fear bad treatment by other states because they are Byzantine citizens.

What does "depriving Muslims and Jewish peoples of their rights" mean to you? No government representation? You keep changing what you are saying. First you say closed borders, then you say they can leave, make up your mind! South Africa will gladly welcome any Muslims, regardless of what country they come from.

I know you have a Muslim government, but do you allow other religious groups their rights?
And of course, Muslims can leave to your country if they want a less-secular government.

Yes we do. We're tolerant but definitely not encouraging. And we allow people to leave whenever they choose. The majority of the people have adopted Islam as their main religion anyway so it is not a major deal, but we do not prevent the practice of other faiths.

In fact, many citizens have told us to burn adherents of Catholicism because they hate the pope so much, but we have refused.
The Duchy of Burgundy does not proscribe any religions within its borders. It does however heavily tax and otherwise disadvantage Jews and Muslims, as dictated by their monstrous actions towards Jerusalem and our Lord in Heaven. However, upon hearing Japan's comments about supporting sedition from the peasantry, Duke Phillip is currently leaning towards proscribing Confucianism out of spite.

OOC: It is the 15th century. Europe is still very much in the Medieval periods. Free religion does not exist. Islam is considered heathen and dirty, and if we were going with our timeline, Orthodox is just a fraction above that. You are acting far more like a 20th century nation with all its ideals and polices than a medieval nation.

I would like to specifically address some key issues, espeically with Domination3000's complaint. Eventhough you stated you wanted six territories each turn in Japan, You still need to post the order in the respected turn. I cannot keep track of your whatever per turn. Bad enough I have to comb through the spam and diplomacy
Also, kudos to thoes individuals who posted there claims in a regional form and not a full blown map. For the others, please post your claims in a regional form in the future.
If there are any issues with the claims, please PM me (but don't SPAM MY in box. Looking at you Domination3000)
actually there's a giant mistake with your map, namely you completely left out my country all together let alone any claims I made and not only that but you also have Egypt's territory flowing through mine even though I already claimed it.
