Once again, the Prussian Army is frustrated due to the lack of resources sent into the Viking-Prussian War; although the city of Hjorring has been taken by the newly formed Pomeranian Naval Infantry, most of Prussian expansion was undertaken overseas, with the BUP claiming Carnarvon and Morocco to test new drought-hardy crops, and parts Pennsylvania on behalf of the Pennsylvania Dutch.

However, most of the spending has been on the military, with the formation of the Baltic Fleet and the aformentioned Pomeranian Naval Infantry regiment.

Surely if you can claim Iceland, I can claim New Scotland? I thought that was quite a fair deal, where I relinquish my legitimate claim on Iceland in return for Nova Scotia.

I am not opposed to releasing my Nova Scotia claims. While I appreciate the offer to give me one of your expansion points for the territory I own, I feel that that will leave me with absolutely nothing in return for my relinquishing my SOI on Iceland.

If you give me 2 expansion points for my Nova Scotia territory, I will relinquish my SOI on Iceland, and transfer control of my territory in Nova Scotia to Vinland.

Iceland is presently contested by both Scotland and Vinland, and as you can see from the above communiqué we are in an advanced stage of negotiation over the final disposition of the territories. Your expansion into this region will only complicate matters and, to put it lightly, will put a strain on our newly acquired friendship.

I strongly recommend that you withdraw your claims to Iceland.

Today the Emperor finally announced the near-term expansion policy. The nearby Maldives would be formally incorporated into the Empire, as would the Andaman Islands. Expansion would continue up the east coast of India, and a colony would be established on the west coast of Southeast Asia. What was most surprising was the announcement that the island of Socotra, off the coast of Africa, would be colonized. The Emperor announced that he intends to colonize parts of the east coast of Africa, assuming the local nations were accepting of the policy.

You see we thought, whatever that African nation's,claims on Iceland meant you previously dropped the claims, because all we got was a message by them saying "We're claiming Iceland. Tough Luck", followed by me saying "Uh, I don't think so, a-holes"

Now, our primary concern is that letting one power into our continent means that other overseas expanders (Prussia, those Africans with a name similar to a particular US state) will find it an invite to ruin our partitioning plans and just kick it wherever they choose. And that isn't cool. We actually never really "agreed" on anything before your claims on Nova Scotia.

Now, we understand that you don't feel like you'll gain anything out of this. So, I have a second plan. You see, you lose three claims by giving up Greenland and Iceland (You see, were charitable enough to include an chunk of Nordic ice you immediately gave up). Since you already have one claim already in Nova Scotia, we'll allow you to make two more claims in Nova Scotia. Thus, a perfect three for three trade.

Secondly, for a more long-term peace, we would also like to propose the "Nordic-Gaelic Agreement". Simply put, we will support your right to all Gaelic territories (With Gaelic being expanded to French-cultured along with actual Gaelic territories), if you support our right to Nordic territories.

Exactly put, we would get (Including, but not mentioning, prior agreements) the Nordics proper, the Faroes, and the Danish West Indies (Now the US Virgin), while while you get Britain, Ireland France, and all the other Caribbean colonies you desire (But I don't suggest trying to take Hispanic colonies, for the Latino Nation won't like you). In all international disputes pertaining to these territories we would support each other.
