Libya A Contested State and a Red Spring
When the revolution initially began the Peoples Militia promised a Red Spring. And a Red Spring they got. There protests were put down by force by the now infamous Protective Caste warriors that dealt with the Thessaloniki problem. Peaceful protests in Greece were mown down by machine gun fire and in a comment from a French Correspondent It was as if there were some great festival, the walls and streets were so brightly coloured, it would be beautiful if it were not for the fact that the bright colour was that of the blood of the citizens of this brutal Republic.
By the time Russias forces arrived in Greece the situation was already critical. The streets were lined with the dead and most of the prominent Government buildings had been hit by explosive attacks. Russian military police stepped in to take control of the situation. In the disarray of the government they set up a provisional government of appointed Russian Military officials. The fighting rages on throughout the nation but with Russians there it all became a bit more peaceful.
In Libya the Peoples Militia vastly lost support - following Abdulrashids condemnation of the Militias recent actions - in favour of a more moderate independence movement inspired by the writings of a Doctor El-Amin. When this movement began protesting the Protective caste did not fight them as they had the Militia but instead under the orders of Farida Amjad, a Governing Caste member who had been working with El-Amin, they turned to fight for El-Amin and Amjads new Provisional Government for Libya.
The overall situation in the Platonic Republic can be described as follows: In Libya the Libyan Provisional Government, Peoples Militia and Platonic forces are all fighting for control. In Greece the Platonic forces, now under Russian leadership are attempting to supress the Peoples Militia in the Mediterranean islands Russian control goes mostly unquestioned.
Debate on the Caen Meteorite
The origin of the Caen Meteorite is a subject of great debate in Astrophysical circles, no one is truly sure where it came from as only a few supposed pieces made it out of France before the lockdown that occurred when the Government took complete control of the operation after the Coup. Some scientists argue that their fragment suggest an origin on Mars however Ogilvy, a scientist in Bermudia was reported to have said The chances of this thing having come from Mars are a million to one. Others such as a American Dr. Joyday suggest that there is evidence on their fragment to suggest the real possibility of life on other planets. As of yet the French government has not allowed French scientists to release their own findings on the matter.
The long term climate impacts are still unknown though in the short term it seems to have caused a massive area of low pressure in France which has drawn in the winds and the rain. This has had a highly detrimental effect on Frances harvest prospects.
The Changing Face of Global Politics
Global Politics is now dynamic and changing very quickly. The Triple alliance was very quick to form and in America the Hegemony has established itself as the most powerful nation in the world. France has suffered in the last few months both the death of its leader, a horrendous natural disaster and then a coup by an ultra-feminist group. Rome has also collapsed following the death of its leadership and though Rhodes elected to remain within the empire, many states cut their ties to Rome. One of the new states, Cyprus, joined the UAR after a popular referendum, pending approval from the UAR government. The Platonic republic is similarly falling with Russia having to step in to assist and with this seasons massive Earthquake and a string of military defeats Japan is slowly falling from grace as well.
The Liberation of Vietnam
Hanoi was, as an Egyptian soldier, one of the first to enter the city, reported; Destroyed. In the most inhumane way possible to imagine. The Japanese we captured told us that the orders had been to Rape the city. I really think that they got that right, its the only way to describe this utter violation of humanity. The soldier went on to say that him and the rest of the Egyptian forces that had been there were now going to make them bleed, bled out of a hundred different wounds.
This seems to have been a standard reaction from many of the Peacekeeping forces that marched into Hanoi expecting to be greeted as liberators. All they found there was the dead, and the dead werent very good at being grateful for the liberation. The Japanese had destroyed the city completely, burned and killed and all manner of other atrocities. Of the several thousand expected to be found there, only 124 survivors have been found so far.
On the Chinese front the tactical ingenuity of Chinas forces allowed them to gain the upper hand against overwhelming forces arrayed against them. With the help of Gangnam from the north the advances of Japan were stopped and the in the south China even managed to make gains against the enemy. Another attempt to attack Taiwan was made and once again it was repulsed, many like to refer to Taiwan as an impregnable fortress.
However in the JCZ the Peacekeeping forces did manage to score their first set of real naval victories counting on air support from the mainland to support their ships. This strategy allowed them to be able to face the Japanese navy as equals rather than being hopelessly outmatched. The Japanese paid dearly for their lack of air support.
Tokyo Earthquake
An earthquake of 7.2 on the Richter scale hit Tokyo. Though the damage was not huge to the oldest buildings that survived from before the wars of the 21st century many of the newer buildings that had been built with short term recovery in mind rather than earthquakes were destroyed. This included serious damage to the imperial palace. Many Japanese citizens are becoming slightly wary of their government. With this recent string of defeats and natural disaster public support is declining. It would take a major blow against their enemies for the public to rally back to their fanatical support of the government observed last year.
Bermudia tis for Thee
The Bermudia republic, successor to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, is a point of tranquillity in a world of Chaos. During the wars of the 21st century this is where the majority of the richest UK citizens fled but also the stock markets and the major universities. Much of the stock trading done in the western world is conducted through Bermudia it is seen as a neutral place where Americans, Frenchwomen, Irish and all others can gather together in order to trade and make money. Similarly the major universities of Britain such as UCL, Bristol, Durham, St Andrews, Warwick (and the other two) all amalgamated together into the British university which is fully based in Bermudia, many people from across the world pay huge amount of money to come and study there as it is one of the only surviving truly prestigious academic institutions.
Bermudia remains in a state of neutrality with most of the world and tends to stay out of most conflicts. It is only and observer state of the UN and is adverse to any offers of alliance or political protection. Its main sources of income are in the Trade and Education sectors. I hope you enjoyed that little information nugget.
Oceania
The amount of unsureness about the situation in Oceania is shockingly high. Many analysts just give up when trying to think about it
General Toto moves to Mozambique
Having recovered enough to be able to be moved to another hospital General Toto requested to be moved to a Mozambique hospital in order that he might retire there after he has fully recovered.
Ground Zero Reached
The Hegemony has expanded its borders now right up to the outskirts of Washington DC the old capital of the USA. It is believed that Washington was one of the first cities to be hit by a nuclear weapon and was the trigger point for the crisis that led to the destruction of the old world order.

Also RULE CHANGE
Unitary states such as The Hegemony and UAR must now have contribution from both players in the nation or the offending player will acquire shame points as would normally happen. This means that I will no longer accept orders which include claims from both nations. Claim orders must be given in separately.
Also I'm sure that there's something I've forgotten and intelligence report PMs will go out tomorrow.
