From: The Russian Soviet Federation

A great opportunity lies ahead of us, brothers and sisters of the south. As Russia grows stronger, the people can't help but to think of the behemoth of the old USSR of centuries' past. Your nations were proud parts of this global power and our ideal was nearly spread to the entire globe. Now, we have a chance to one day recreate that, and we would very much like for you to be by our side when it happens. We propose that your nations take to a new outlook, one that dreams of a better tomorrow for all our states. We propose taking steps to join with Russia in a Union for the ascension of mankind into a new era. This does not have to be sudden, but taking steps to align yourselves with us will go a long way to remaking a Union of nations working together for the common goal of liberation and equality. What say you?

the Roman Empire is concerned about potential Russian expansion closer to the Roman Empire. Rome and Russia are at odds with the others, as is obvious.

we cant do much, of course, but we warn Russia not to make any aggressive moves towards the Empire.

(OOC: i forgot to tell RC that the NPC nations will be controlled by me. oh well, too late, he controls it now.)

Russia condemns the new Polish monarchy as oppression of those who should be the true leaders of Poland, the proletariat.

To: The Russian Soviet Federation

Although we were reformed as a communist leadership, King Benedykt and myself were acting through the voice of the people and not for our own political gain, all Konstanty wanted was fame and glory he did not care about the Polish people. Also the peoples of Poland were praying for this to happen and it did thanks to King Benedykt. The Proletariat was not useful for Poland. We would like to ask you to not spread lies about the oppression of our government not one single man has of now objected to the removal of Konstanty. Thank you.

Signed,
Prime Minister Piotr Wojciechowski

The proletariat is a person, or the many residing in all our borders, not a government entity.

I'm just really tired I don't want to do stuff now.
Changed it is that better :P

The Russian-led government body in Greece has declared an end to hostility in Greece and all Greek holdings. We hereby demand all civilians that have taken up arms to lay them down. While we do not condone the previous government's attack on the civilian population, we cannot allow violence to persist. Fire will be met with fire. No more blood needs to be lost in this pointless conflict.

To the Russian Goverment

Message also sent to the United Nations

If you can see we are not in a position to lay down, for our peaceful protests we arranged under the shield of YOUR protection were 'dealt' with by the vile Protective Caste. If you cannot see we are prepared to lay down in the face of the Platonic Republic. As the only violent action accord towards General Toto (the man who commanded the murderous assault on Thessaloniki) we are still not please with notion of matter. The People's Militia may have faced hindered but the "moderates" in Libya fail to realist that the Platonics will not rest till they have total control. Hence the downfall of the Platonic regime is our objective, peaceful or otherwise

We will maintain our weapons but we will however just maintain them for defense. We will not dishonor martyrs. Hence we would recommended a new course of action; the Russian government help us establish a Platonic wide election to dictate the will of the Platonic peoples. This will officially end the oligarchical dictation of the "Philosopher" Council and give the Platonic, along with the "moderates" of Doctor El-Amin, a chance to caste their voice. Only then can we prepare to hand our weapons to then a officially forged civilian army made by peoples not of the Protective Caste exclusively but must come with the stepping down of the Philosopher Council, their cronies and a official UN trial of members of the Platonic government and military for their human rights violations. We also require the UN take charge of the election.

Of course what is to come from this?

We will purpose for a union but we are also open to the idea of the states being taken care by the UAR, who have proven themselves a most worthy power that the people of Libya, Greece, Sicily and Sardinia would benefit from the protection of. Greece, Sicily and Sardinia would be independent but with alliances with the UAR seeing it as a big brother, while Libya becomes a official member. The moderates in Libya may have different considerations but freedom from Greece may aid them while Arabia is a pan-national glory.

Our own vision is of a democratic socialist union that made up the former members of the Platonic Republic. This union would set them in a federal structure; each state will self govern while at the same time setting their sovereignty to a federal body that determines the states as a whole. The People's Militia sees this as needed in times of bloodshed in Vietnam and here, for the Socialist Union of Democratic States that El-Ghazzaway envisioned could prove vital for peaceful stability in the Mediterranean.

Our deaths have been a great exaggeration. We are willing to set Russia these proposals. Help us to enact either of these visions. We are willing to fight with peaceful means, not through violence, as the tragedy of the Red Spring demonstrated. We will however store our guns till we are confident that the Platonic Republic is dead, which we are now willing to slay it with the ballot box. We hence request the UN step in to help oversee the glories of tomorrow. If Russia persists they have permission to deploy troops to be stationed at where we store our weapons but on condition they give not the location to the Platonics; we are doing this out of self-protection and fear of the rooting by the totalitarian Platonic government. We do not simply want to selfishly flee only Libyans like the "moderates:" we want to free all chained by the Platonic Republic. Cease the suppression of our members in all Platonic territories so that we may proceed with a UN democratic vision.

May you choose the right path.

The Council of the Peoples Militia.

Our Libyan brothers and sisters have spoken: The Platonic caste system, enfeebled by its numerous failed ventures abroad and decisively crippled by internal dissent, has no place in the Arab world. The decision by Libya's own governoress Farida Amjad to side with the people against the tyrannical imposition of Athens is proof that Greece has lost its right to rule in the region. The United Arab Republic salutes the courage of the Libyan people, who have claimed self-government in a spirited, and commendably bloodless revolution. We express our confidence in the provisional government, and offer our support to Amjad and Dr. El-Amin during this transitional period.

Regarding the People's Militia, the United Arab Republic is deeply concerned over statements by Mr. Abdulrashid that Usman Almasi has been acting without his knowledge or authorization, alleging that Almasi used his exile to consolidate power under a radical militant splinter group at odds with the Militia's original manifesto. Furthermore, the Ministry of Intelligence has linked the assassination attempt on retired General Toto to this cell. Based on the available evidence, Jerusalem has branded this group a terrorist organization and disavows any relationship between the United Arab Republic and Almasi's extremists. In an effort to dispel confusion, Abdulrashid has ordered those Militiamen still loyal to him to demobilize, and Jerusalem pledges to assist the Provisional Government should this group prove hostile.

TO: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Platonic Republic; Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russia
FROM: Fadia bint Faraj al-Hishami, Minister of Foreign Affairs

By now Athens must recognize that continued Greek rule over Libya is no longer tenable. It is our sincere hope that with the recent ousting of Papadakis and his cronies, the Philosopher Council will demonstrate real reason in its approach to the issue and refrain from further, needless bloodshed. On behalf of the Provisional Government of Libya, the United Arab Republic offers itself as an interlocutor to negotiate the withdrawal of Greek forces and the peaceful secession of Libya from the Platonic Republic.

The only primal violent action the People's Militia has current conducted was on General Toto and to call that terrorism ignores the defining aspect of terrorism; of targeting civilians. Abdulrashid has forsaken his own structure for the sake of personnel power, while the command structure set by the Council followed the command of the peoples' vision. We find it ill that the UAR brands us as terrorists, as if the UAR like the 20th USA in many regards to how it branded the National African Congress as terrorists.

As such the Council declares that the People's Militia should conduct a new election to determine whom should be called leader of the Militia. Our command structure, meant to imitate insurgent groups, will be set to such council. If Mr. Abdulrashid wants to be leader of the People's Militia then he should travel to Libya so that he can compete with Usman Almasi and Inas El-Ghazzaway, the latter the architect of our peaceful protests, as well as the visionary of the socialist union consideration.

We would suggest the UAR heed down its labeling of us as terrorists, instead giving that label to the likes of General Toto the Butcher of Thessaloniki. We have set word to the UN. We are not the IRA nor the Taliban but rather a liberation group that, if it does result to violence, target non-civilians. Yet we have only commit ed one such sin (if you can call trying to kill Xylon Toto a sin) and hence set the rest to the liberties of peaceful protest. Meanwhile the Platonic Republic guns down civilians. We ask of you; co-operate with us instead of against us.

Mr. Abdulrashid should we reminded that the People's Militia does not endorse dictatorship and has in fact gone more with the democratic socialist vision of El-Ghazzaway more than the vision of Abdulrashid. If he wants to prove it then he can challenge her in the elections we are willing to conduct before the UN overseen elections over the hopefully former Platonic Republic to determine whether, in a referendum, that people want to be in a federal democratic union, be independent or be part of the UAR. Again; we work for the people, not for Mr. Abdulrashid. We will not step down but we are prepared to stand in peace. We will not stand down till a elective government replaces the Platonic Republic or a complete dissolution that in any way sees all former parts of the Platonic Republic set to freedom.

No successive nation nor NGO should be reliant on a single leader, Mr. Abdulrashid, nor should it be set to the cruel oligarchy of the Platonic Republic.

The pacific progress of Oceania goes on. According to the latest news, long anticipated administrative fusion with our kinsmen in the Salomon islands has just materialized.

I hope that the map clarifies things just a bit for analysts :)

If the old times have proven anything, it is that democracy in an unstable region does not make for a more stable country. Especially when it only seems to be demanded by a single splinter group that makes up a minority of the Greeks and by no means dictates the wants and needs of the great majority. However, it can be said with certainty that the Oligarchy is over; the Provisional government is the authority in Greece now and "Platonic Republic" moniker is by now a misnomer. There is thusly no reason to continue fighting. Allow the peacekeepers to restore complete order to the nation and there will be smooth riding from there.

Russia also notes there is still fighting in Libya and still plans to send peacekeepers there to take control of the situation as it has done in other Greek holdings. We hope that at the very least, the Libyan Provisional Government will lay their weapons down and cooperate with us so that the state does not further regress.

Japan has been wounded, but not defeated. Japan still has the greatest military power in the entire world and we shall strike back.

Is this a peacekeeping mission or the creation of a Russian puppet or worse a annexation mission?

Why are you scared of the will of the people? This is why we have commissioned the UN on the matter. We are willing to surrender our arms but only to the UN so it can be distributed to a civilian army, not to the Russian "peacekeepers."

We are pleased the great enemy is dying out but the provisional governments need to be set with a referendum; people power is something that people were denied under Plato's fanatics and it is something which we will protest for.

We are uncertain of this provisional authority, other than it is a Russian imposed order; it is not the order of the people of Greece.

Thankfully Rhodesia, Rome and Indonesia are already setting commitments to see the referendum, the ultimate word of the peoples' sovereignty, conducted. Russia must respect the ballot box. Each nation the Platonic Republic dominated will be offered the chance of independence, federal union or (for the Libyans especially, although open to others as well) part of the United Arab Republic.

We do not need more disorder and a foreign occupation can breed insurgency. Hence the People's Militia will dissolve itself once the referendum is completed, judged fair by the United Nations whom will also oversee it. Then Russia can enjoy friendly relations with independent countries, a federal democratic (hopefully socialist) union, additional parts of the UAR or a mixture.

We fight with words; Russia and the "Provisional Government" need not face the treatment we would give the Platonics, although we would request the UN conducts trials of the former members of the Platonic government and their generals for any human rights violations.

Again; we will like to have a arrangement of handing our weapons to the UN so they can distribute the weapons to a civilian armies, not to the Russians and this "Provisional Government" whom could be a puppet; we basically cannot trust Russia, so we turn to the UN.

Greece is not ready for democracy. It takes an informed populace of intelligent people and an established economy for democracy to work in a way that benefits the people in the long term. In the end of it all, there seems to be no leaders from the Greek people. Libya has done well for itself and thus will be given the most freedom once reorganization of the Greek holdings commences and will probably be able to do what they want, for the most part. However, Greece proper is still in open revolt between the militia itself and loyalists of the old regime and lacks actual leaders. An election would simply add to the fire and when it's over it is more than likely this will all start over again and the initial peacekeeping mission would have been for naught. Russian leadership will organize a stable Greek economy and then hand off governing responsibilities to the leaders that arise out of the uplifting of the presently-regressing Greece.

Take note that the western holdings of Greece are now peaceful and quiet, not a gunshot to be heard.

An election would divert resources away from the fire. Who has the right to dictate a nation is "not ready?" Is this some puppet time making on behalf of the Russians? Was Poland unfit to have a election after its time under Soviet rule?

We are pleased that you plot Libya to be spared from your... holding plots but we are not freeing from the Platonic Republic just for the Libyans. We want to be certain the Greeks, Sardinians and Sicilians are also freed and for that a referendum, as supported by UN members, is the way to go.

To deny the referendum is a seedy move indeed. Hence it is not for Russia to dictate but the United Nations. You cannot dictate the will of the Greeks, Libyans, Sardinians and Sicilians. The loyalists to the Platonic Republic will be faced with the justice they denied to many in their twisted take of justice but we will do this in a form of a UN sanctioned trial.

The Platonic Republic were founded by people who felt that the people could not rule themselves. If Russia dictates that Greece and others cannot decide itself... then have we traded one authoritarian rule for another?

It must be the peoples of Greece, Libya, Sardinia and Sicily, not the Russians, that design the future of Greece, Libya, Sardinia and Sicily. The UN sanctioned referendum will be the dictation to this.

We again hail the people.

If the Greek people were against our actions one would expect that an open revolt would have occurred in the western holdings in Italy already. But they are being compliant, happy to be rid of the conflict your militia has caused for the entire nation when you only represent at best a small fraction of the views the people hold. The Greek people, now more than ever, can't lead the Greek nation. I restate, there are no leaders in Greece. If we hadn't stepped in, the republic would be in pure anarchy with bloodshed happening on every street corner in Athens. At least now Athens is in relative peace but as we speak there are acres of land that go in policed by Russian peacekeepers that are at the will of the civil war that you have unleashed on the populace you oh so dearly want to rule themselves!

You would have the Greeks further regress. That is the opposite of why we are here.

We would also like to bring up the point that the country is still in open revolt.

So the Greeks are content because they are not revolting in from of the gunmen who taken their arms? And people wonder why we are fans in giving our arms up to the Russians?

The referendum will dictate whether the Greeks want to be independent, part of a federal democratic union or even part of the United Arab Republic.

The Russians do not get to dictate the destiny of Greece. They cannot speak for Greece. For all we know the Russians are suppressing any journalists so that they can create a illusion of the "perfection" of authoritarianism. Your stepping in only killed a already dying beast, which we are a bit pleased of.

You claim you face no protest, yet the nation you claim to have "no gunshots" is still in open revolt. You confuse us; is Greece in open revolt or in "no need" of your peacekeeper force? Because it appears you are spewing the lies of a authoritarian regime.

To say Greece has regressed... Thessaloniki points to how the people did not decree in their spirit. They rather be crushed by the Protective Caste then summit to Platonic dictation. We also point to the United Nations, whom are not going to be happy by what appears to be the borrowing of tactics by the Russians from the current military imperial government in Japan; just as Japan "liberated" Vietnam it appears Russia is now claiming that "Greeks cannot govern themselves." Such imperialist rhetoric by the Russian government speaks ill of the authorities in Russia.

We hence extend our call to request (non-Russian) UN peacekeepers to be summoned to Greece and other former Platonic Republic lands to replace the Russian forces. Russia cannot be trusted to benefit the Greeks. This will also allow security for the referendum.

We especially request from Rome and Arabia.
