The W.A.C will sent a observer in the form of Xavier Diallo. As a growing power we hope to promote a path of reasoning in the conference, as well as highlighting the importance of finding a heir to the UN.

Germany will send delegates to attend the conference on behalf of their Australian allies.

Claudia is slightly upset at being called a man.

(OOC) Regardless, I think you should talk to Tyo about the outcome of the war. You two have the highest stake in the conflict and the most to lose.

I was talking to you directly, not in context (the term Kaiser is in your name after all :p ). Anyways its pretty clear that Tyo and I have differing conclusions on the outcome of the war. Naturally I believe that the Tsardom with the help of Germany would endure, perhaps with some territorial concessions from the Soviets, while expanding into near Siberia, whereas Tyo is of the opinion that the Federation will completely crush the Tsardom :p

Ergo, the best manner of resolution would be I think to have the comparative tactics laid out (from each side) too our moderator, who can then produce an impartial state of affairs five years hence in game time. Since you are by far the dominant partner on our side of the fence, its therefore necessary for us to confer on the matter (or for you to give me yoru war intentions, whereupon I can add my actions to it and present that to our glorious GM overlord in my orders.

Alternatively, if Tyo has fallen into a temporary state of insanity, and actually demures from his assertion that the Federation will conquer the Tsardom thus that we both continue to exist in five years time with absolute certainty. Then I would be willing to confer with him on the end state of that scenario. I just don't think that's completely reasonable to expect.

We are most interested in inquiring, may be it possible, to acknowledge how it is possible that we, as an independent entity, have come from having a conflict with one single nation (GEAR) that we always wanted to resolve, but the second part doesn't, to a state of "It has become incredibly apparent that the region known as Oceania is unfit to govern itself".
We are inclined to suspect that, correct me if I am wrong, a misunderstanding with an another government apparently, following this new law, should lead to a nation's collapse.
Sorry, but this is information is most curious, as we didn't know it from inside our own proper country.

Russia has the strongest military on the planet bar none. The only chance the monarchists would have is if Germany decided to devote to the conflict completely, but even then it'd be an uphill battle because I'd be doing that from the start. Germany already said that it wouldn't be doing so, at least from the start. It would highly unlikely for Russian lines to be broken, because again, we have the strongest military on the planet and an economy dedicated to the war.

The assertion that White Russia could resist without direct German support is laughable. We don't even have an idea on how strong the military is, and considering it was just born as a country and currently is completely isolated from the entire world, there is no way it should have much of an armed force. Even lec admitted that despite his support, White Russia probably would have fallen. It's like Germany's invasion of Poland. It is an inevitability no matter how much Britain and France didn't want it to happen.

That said, sending out plans of action is probably the best move.

The W.A.C is willing to send a team of investigators to investigate the White Russian military capability, which will be done on a neutral basis which will also investigate the Russian Federation to serve for compare and contrast. This will determine the strengths of both factions. If the Federation is proven to be in the correct then it will be the duty of the Czar to bow before a monopoly of violence, for the sake of the security of Russian civilians. If however the Czar does have the resources to resist then it will awaken the call for the reformation of the UN, so a peacekeeping agency can be deployed to protect Russian civilians and to provide heavens for any refugees.

Gladly. GEAR and the PAU do not believe an independent state exists within the Oceanic region (barring Australia, who for the purpose of this discussion, is considered Australian). Since it is likely that the supposed Oceanic state, belligerent and full of competing warlords, is likely to be a threat to Pacific peace, we are convening a conference for Pacific powers to establish spheres of protection over all islands in the region.

Now, it is unfortunate that we responded to this at all, since again, there is no Oceanic-Pacific state. However, we are doing this to clear up potential misconceptions on the part of various foreign observers.

We invite most countries to send delegates, since there will also be a celebration of the strides humanity has made since the collapse. However, for the conference itself, it is expected that Pacific-oriented countries such as Australia, the PAU, and GEAR (plus other Pacific nationstates I may be missing right now, since I'm in class), will be expected to take up the lion's share of the burden brought upon the world by the teetering fall of Oceanic society.

I hope this clears things up.

Hey, you have no right to power-game like that, telling how a nation NOT YOURS is behaving internally based on that I don't like you.

What about, I say now that a major leak of radioactive gas has covered your capital, thus killing all of its citizens and thus making crumble your incipient 3 year old state into an administrative and political chaos that makes your nation disappear.

You said it, I don't have the right.
I know what happens in my country. And Oceania now is stable. There are no "competing warlords", nor do you know better what happens in Oceania than I do.

A threat to the Pacific Peace? What about I go by all pages of this thread quoting all the times saying I want peace and not war? Your credibility is it minimum. It is GEAR that, in a small conflict over a worthless province I only wanted to hold for the sake of roleplaying, have magnified it and turned aside negotiations. Now someone tell me? Who is the belligerent? I? Or you and GEAR, creating this San Francisco conference with no actual basis whatsoever?

Or is it that you want to kick me out of the game but you don't have the balls to do so directly?

OOC: we do have the balls, but we didn't get to the funny part yet. :)
Anyway , yes you are a threat to the Pacific peace, mostly because you claim out-of-place territories like that. While , by game mechanics, it is possible, and with a little inspiration you could actually make some RP that's not all crap, there is absolutely no reason for you to push demands on lands that you cannot hold.

Then, you came up with the split province map. That moment, something happened. A message traveled faster than light and made us all realize that it's one of the following: 1) you're trolling, or 2)you enjoy this kind of situations and are willing to accept the consequences. Since we assumed that the first option is irrelevant...... welcome to IOT.

IC: Dota 5 Championship coming.

Do not take what the PAU says personally. They have constantly deluded themselves with the illusion of their own superiority, there is no evidence that the tune has changed.

More and more it seems, the PAU is taking on the personality and tact of a common schoolroom bully. They take aggressively illegal actions without proper justification and consistently refuse to trust in the concept of diplomatic negotiation.

I would just like to remind various nations:

You can not destroy another nation in this phase without their consent.

Hey, you have no right to power-game like that, telling how a nation NOT YOURS is behaving internally based on that I don't like you.

I actually don't care whether or not you like me. The only reason you will exist after the timeskip is because of RC's ruling, not because any of your Pacific neighbors actually want you to exist anymore.

None of them do.

None.

What about, I say now that a major leak of radioactive gas has covered your capital, thus killing all of its citizens and thus making crumble your incipient 3 year old state into an administrative and political chaos that makes your nation disappear.

You can try, but the only country that would probably support that is Austria, and Austria doesn't really matter.

I know what happens in my country. And Oceania now is stable. There are no "competing warlords", nor do you know better what happens in Oceania than I do.

Sorry. I am reading this report prepared by GEAR-PAU political scientists and they are indeed saying that Oceania is in a state of near anarchy, and that peacekeeping operations will be required.

What is your source on the stability of Oceania?

A threat to the Pacific Peace?

No. A threat to Pacific war. That was rhetorical? Sorry.

What about I go by all pages of this thread quoting all the times saying I want peace and not war?

Since there is no Oceanian state, there are no statements you could show me made by a representative of Oceania since, again, Oceania does not exist as a state.

Your credibility is it minimum. It is GEAR that, in a small conflict over a worthless province I only wanted to hold for the sake of roleplaying, have magnified it and turned aside negotiations.

GEAR, like the PAU, does not negotiate with pirates or warlords.

Now someone tell me? Who is the belligerent? I? Or you and GEAR, creating this San Francisco conference with no actual basis whatsoever?

The GEAR and PAU can not be belligerent, since there is no state to act belligerent against.

Or is it that you want to kick me out of the game but you don't have the balls to do so directly?

I am pretty sure direct military intervention via the results of the San Francisco Conference is as direct as it gets, unless you want us to wear neon strobe lights as we do so?

Do not take what the PAU says personally. They have constantly deluded themselves with the illusion of their own superiority, there is no evidence that the tune has changed.

Says the Austrians who wishes badly they were a new Germany and constantly tries to make themselves feel relevant by commentating on everything superior nations do.

More and more it seems, the PAU is taking on the personality and tact of a common schoolroom bully. They take aggressively illegal actions without proper justification and consistently refuse to trust in the concept of diplomatic negotiation.

The PAU is taking a proactive role in theaters that are vital to American security. Just because the Austrians have a long storied history of bending over a table and taking it by whatever superior Germanic people happen to pass along the way doesn't mean Americans have to be as weak.

You can not destroy another nation in this phase without their consent.

Severely reduced.

the comments of the PAU has pissed off the Roman Emperor. he isn't anywhere near a target, but its behavior and diplomatic language just makes him... twitch.

the Roman Embassy in the capital of the PAU, whatever it may be is closed, and all staff is recalled. also, the PAU Diplomat in the Roman Throne Room is asked to leave. and not come back.

I forgot we actually spared one diplomat.

[Excerpt]

"...we watched the three Austrian soldiers pick their way through the wreckage of the house from the safety of a sewer grate. Rubble blocked much of our line of sight, but my wife's house just across the way. While the three soldiers picked their way through the rubble for valuables, two more soldiers covered their comrades as the Berlin Resistance was strong in that part of the city.

My wife weeped quietly beside me, and my two sons stood behind me and peered at the soldiers over my shoulder, as I was shorter than both my sons. As a family, we watched as the three soldiers looted my wife's jewelry, and one soldier found my younger son's soccer ball still intact. The soldier pretended to throw the ball at another soldier, who in his excitement fell to the ground. All five soldiers laughed, but my son watched shivering in the December cold, but boiling at the same time.

When we saw all we could watch, we made our way back through the tunnels under the city. Some tunnels existed prior to the Austrian occupation, and others would appear later via the efforts of the Berlin Resistance, and many tunnels had caved in, some with the bones sticking out from beneath the rubble to act as gravemarkers..."

We call PAU and GEAR to try and find a peaceful solution on the Oceanic Question and try to avoid war at all costs. We would also like to ask that if war comes in Oceania, the region shall not be divided or annexed by a foreign power, but that the Oceanic people are allowed to have their own independent state. Thailand shall embargo your coalition if it totally destroys the Oceanic State and does not allow an independent Oceanic State to exist. No matter what, the right of self-determination should be preserved.

The PAU will seek to find a peaceful solution. Islands will not be directly annexed by the PAU. The make-believe Oceanic State, insofar as it supposedly exists, would theoretically not be completely removed.

"In short, [Under the Yolk] is truly an amusing read. As far as thinly-veiled revenge smut goes, it is easily on par with the works of renowned American artist Taylor Swift. Ultimately, it left me with a smile on my face, with my only question being why the citizens of Berlin would be covered in egg yolk."

-Herman Lueth, Munich Times review of "Under the Yolk"

"J.S. Karling is quite literally a king of his genre, and Under the Yolk is one of his best reads yet. Unlike many of his other books which deal with the idea of a peaceful 21st century this novel takes a much more recent point of divergence. I wouldn't want to spoil it for the reader as it slowly reveals this detail as the story goes on. It has a gripping pace that keeps you at the edge of your seat for the whole ride. The protagonist is complicated and the antagonist is a cold and distant force that well sums up the mood of the PAU's citizens in regards to big government and the threat of another nuclear war. Though this book won't become a classic, its well worth a moment of your time if you want a fun read and a bit of light entertainment."

-Review from the Bermudia Sunday Times

The GEAR would like to award J.S. Karling with the "Universal Progress- Literature" medal and trophy for this year.
