rats. I have copies of a dozen of so of the missing files in CIV4. It's not much but, combined, we can regenerate this library . I didn't create these gems but I value them highly. I wish I had more but I never dowloaded a file unless I was going to use it or try it out. Now some of these creations are simply gone for good. So I'm going to wait and see what gets repaired and see if I have any of the forgotten and then make a post in the file's thread if I have that file.

It would be helpful if a Thread was started and made Temporarily Sticky for the purpose of Reporting any Missing Files so everyone could pool together and help replace any files that remain missing after people have had a chance to replace their own files.
...This should probably wait until Members have all had a chance to replace the Files they have. Then Members who have downloaded files that are still missing can submit them to restore the files.
...For this reason it would also be Helpful to state where Members can Upload any Missing Files from other Members. In Other Words, we need a Report and Submission Thread with some procedures to use for Reporting and Submitting Files from other members that are no longer with the Site.
...I am sure I am not alone when I say that I do not remember every thread where I posted a small File using the Easy Upload System so I am also certain there will be many threads that have links to missing files. I have no idea why but it is a sad fact of life that some people get pleasure out of destroying rather than creating. I do not know if it is related to an inability to create, maybe an envy of what they lack that others have or probably numerous other reasons. However there is no doubt that these people get a perverse pleasure out of the reactions to their deads. IMO the only way to prevail is to show that what we have can be rebuilt.
