INES I: Anno Domini

OOC: Personally, I would prefer you over wubba to rule over an unified China. But then I remember what you tried to do with her in a previous nes... ;) *shivers* a Republic...

OOC: I learn from my mistakes, Pandaman. I have learnt to completely and utterly despise democracies in Eastern nations. :p Besides, I've developed a slightly less insane streak. I wouldn't try to screw my nation over, the way I used to.

IC:

Heretics? Hate to break it to you, love, but we're the same religion. And you do realise that what you're suggesting is wiping out every person in southern China? Which seems a trifle unwise. I mean, seriously, you're suggesting the entire southern half of an empire that you seem to seek to unite be completely depopulated. How intelligent. You're obviously a brilliant leader, since you believe that's the right way to go. What kind of idiot are you? Let's compare, shall we? Chu: reforming the nation to make it more favourable to the common man. Zhou: wiping out half the populace of the Middle Kingdom because they were misinformed of what religion that other half was. Now, really, who's going to be the better ruler? You dud.

Peace and trade? Fantastic. Sounds brilliant. Thanks for wishing us luck in the war, you too. Kill the filthy whoever-you-are-at-war-with people! If you would be willing, we could have a sort of cultural exchange thingo. You know, you send us scholars, we send you scholars, everyone learns about everyone and we all do a happy little dance. Disco-style.

OOC: I have some very strange leaders. I should stop writing these diplos the way I would say them, and actually be a little in character. Maybe.

OOCAnd what's with LittleBoots? First surrending his country, then stealing someone elses? (Sorry, carmen510)

People don't surrender enough in NESing. Its always a bloody fight to the death and not particularly realistic. Anyway, I stole nothing, I merely executed a very successful rebellion, whereby I managed to take the entire country and army without harming the economy in the slightest or having a single battle. :D

We offer you a 100 year NAP.

EDIT: OOC: Stealing someone's nation is a very sinful thing to do :p

To: Byzantium
From: Assyria

Our surrender will never happen as long as you occupy Assyrian lands. Leave it peacefully and this war will come to an end. :)

ooc: grand update.

Excellent update. I think the BT should come when peace dawns on Earth and lasts for over ten seconds. :p I was to be honest actually a bit upset that everything worked out so smoothly for Bachiria, as I had a plan B that involved switching to Khmeria if Bachiria were to fall, but ah well, I have plans for it too.

Anyway, a new age is dawning for sure. An age of great empires.

Btw, wouldn't people be a bit upset about Gaul's "southernizing"? Just pondering.

And another thing, why is Bosphorus called Bosporan?

IC:

From: Bachiria
To: The World

It would seem that some have not understood well enough the will of YHWH. Israel is no more and shall never rise again. All and any agreements that it had signed, excluding the agreemenet with YHWH which it had violated itself, are to be considered as null and void as Israel itself; all and any wars it had fought, except the war with YHWH - which it lost - are likewise over, for Israel is over too.

We ourselves have no wish to involve ourselves in the affairs of the Peoples. Your merchants are allowed to trade in the special, contaminated quarters of Jiddah and Gaza, but we would like to avoid seeing anybody else of yours there, or anyone of you anywhere in Bachiria outside of the contaminated quarters.

Know that all foreign ambassadors and envoys who come to our land after this will be killed on sight. Consider this your warning.

And another thing, why is Bosphorus called Bosporan?

Because a Roman-age map on a historical atlas I have calls a Roman vassal state in that area the Kingdom of the Bosporan. And, in ITNES, you had a Bosporan that tried to get away from Luca, located in the exact same position.

Btw, wouldn't people be a bit upset about Gaul's "southernizing"? Just pondering.

Skillful orders on Perfectionist's part. There have been a lot of rebellions, they just haven't been winning.

Accepted.

OOC: Is that not what most rebellions and coups are trying to do? How am I sinful? ;)

Imago, on a scale of 1-10 whats my chance for surviving next turn.

5. I have no idea. It all depends on your orders, and andis-1's.

For your unspeakeable crimes against the Persian people we declare war upon you and your soul!

Now that you are no longer the same Byzantium that betrayed the Jewish people, would you like to sign a trade agreement?

You wish to embroil us in your squabble with Assyria; Give you land and expansion room; and pay for a parcel of land on top of that? What is to my benefit in this deal? I pay for land and give you much more in addition.

You want security on your eastern border while you war in the west. You want assurances that 20,000 of the finest troops in the world don't pour across your border sweeping away everything in front of them. Tell me what that is worth to you. Or, should I court Assyria to see what they would pay to deny such assurances?

Due to the untrustworthy, aggressive nature of the Assyrian peoples, all deals (if any were made) with your kingdom are cancelled, effective immediately.

Meh, just making sure and generally voicing Athens' support for Assyria's downfall.

When the facts say...
Various updates and update summaries said:
Assyria, noticing an opportunity for expansion, marshals its vast armies, and sends them towards Asia Minor, and Phoenicia.
Various updates and update summaries said:
almost thirty thousand Assyrian troops marched westward, against what the Assyrians hoped was a disunified and collapsing Byzantium.

And even your own statement proves you wrong...

Luckymoose said:
but i struck first.

Byzantium was minding her own internal problems and you wanted to grab some of what you though was an imploding empire. Unfortunately for you, Byzantium stayed relatively united, heard about your attack through her spies, and was ready when you came.

As for Persia, not only did you invade them to begin with, but now the Persians in Assyria have rebelled and wanted to reunite with their brethren. Persia is only protecting her people.

Don't kid yourself, you are the aggressor. Just because you're losing doesn't mean you didn't start it ;)

OOC: Actually I would say the update's use of adjectives is subjective to your own opinion. Such as an opportunistic Rome, Roman warhawks, the Great Roman Behemonth and etc :p
