Neji sighed as he continued to unload goods from the ships. As the Hyuga Dynasty began trade with China, the City of Izumo was growing to be a center of economic power. Where they would be sold for over 100 times their value. Why should he help unload thbe goods that would force his people out of bussiness

Neji continued unloading goods, half dead, which were to be sent to the Imperial capital, until a guard shouted "we're under attack!"
Neji grabbed a bow and quiver of arrows, and set off to face the Ainu raiding party. Ever since the Hyuga conqured all of Japan, the Ainu had luanched raid after raid, trying to take lands and wealth. Todays raid was no different, as the 100 Japanese infantry with 200 irregular Archers squared off at 50 Ainu warriors.
Neji quickly raised his bow, and at the signal his companions let down a rain of Arrows on the Ainu.
The Ainu were defeated, but Neji was crying. Why? One of the 4 slain, was his father.
The Ainu were only here to take the wealth that China traded to Japan, and it would be the same untill Hiashi Hyuga put an end to this once and for all.

Imago how do debts between nations get paid during BT? Can they just be postponed until IT resumes again?

Five hundred years is, in my opinion, a bit long for two nations to hold an agreement. The debt would be paid during the BT, where the added eco still indirectly helps you.
There is at least one more IT update. I expect everything to get concluded in this next update, but if everything does not, the IT will drag on.
