Information Drought?

It's going to be the shadow of:
Spoiler :
Pocahontas of the Powhatan

I've always thought a 10-year old girl would make the most sense as a leader of a civilization in the game. I was so disappointed when Sweden went with Gustav instead of Christina.

Nota Bene: I am not being serious ;)

I think the past couple have been at the end of the week because the mid-month landed on a weekend. I'm partial to thinking that Wednesday has the highest chance of success because it's the Ides of May.

Here's hoping...

It would be new terrain for the civ series to cover! We had male leaders, we had female leaders, but we never had child leaders! Pocahontas is going to be the first female child leader in Civ!

Awesome, now I suddenly want Pocahontas.

I was just kidding. Really.

While we're at it, we could have corpse leaders too. Pedro I of Portugal made his mistress queen after she was assassinated, and forced every court noble to kiss her rotting hand :p

...still a better choice than Maria

Why not animal leaders - Caligula made his horse a senator - All hail our equine overlord!

We already have Bucephalus, and Napoleon and Genghis' horses

Someone suggested this a long time ago, but what about couples? Justinian s2 Theodora, if they really wish to add her on 6. Would be nice to have a double leaderhead! Also, brothers/sisters, as the Trung Sisters of Vietnam (also suggested in another thread). :P

I'de rather see Pocahontas than Joan of Arc again.

Under what reasons would Pocahontas be better than Joan of Arc? The Maid of Orleans at least led her country in battle. Pocahontas was related to a ruler, was then taken to England and died of small pox. She wasn't even in her country for much of her life.

To be honest I dont care - the leaders are merely flavoring for the civ they could have president Barney the Dinosaur and it really wouln't effect my gameplay very much.

Both of those would be really cool. If they ever do alternate sets of leaders and the Huns return in 6, they could have Rugila and Octar as a double leader.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that any and all "like" campaigns are going to be things for the casual fans to ooh and aah at

At least I hope so. If they do that every friggin reveal my love for Firaxis is going to drop dramatically in a way that will never reach them because I'll still buy the expansion because I'm a sucker like that.

I never said Pocahontas is "better" than Joan of Arc. I was not pointing towards facts and historical arguments in my statement. I'de simply rather see her included. My reason being, I would rather verse France under Napoleon. Joan would have excluded him.

I would rather face Joan over Pocahontas any day. Frankly would be one of the top 3 worst leader choices in Civilization history
