Information Drought?

I know we're drowning in about 35 new articles or something ridiculous like that but when can we expect the next reveal?

The people who come up with date estimations have been pretty accurate or at least not far off

Some are saying in about a month.

That's too long a wait, we're all bickering about Venice and that last dark horse (Native American) civ.

I'd expect another featurette next week, probably focusing on Ideologies. We probably won't get more new Civs for a while.

I wonder if they are going to leave the last two Civs for the June magazine editions, or if they are going to let the magazines announce one (most likely on June 14th) and have a bit of fun with the last one, maybe getting us to 'like' fogged-up Facebook images like they did with the box art...

It's a shame they haven't been more creative with the Civ reveals - and that it's taking such a long time compared to G&K last year. The Sweden reveal over at 2K was so much fun - sadly I think that if they reveal a leader to us themselves, it'll be like the box art thing.

I get the feeling the purple and white civ will be announced next on its own and then the final civ will be announced last.

I'm really hoping their holding out that last civ just so they can blow us all away by revealing it is in fact the pueblo. :goodjob:

With the exception of Poland, they have all been revealed in pairs.

I'm torn between two scenarios:

1) because we are 1.5 months away from release and all the G&K civs were released before that time last year, they may do the last set pretty soon, in 2 weeks or so.

2) they keep going with the gamer magazine cycle and we see it at the end of a week in mid-June.

I'm leaning towards #2 at the moment.

Just had a chat with Zac Minor. He doesn't know when the next set will be revealed either. However, Rev3 is working on a tangentially related video that will come out sooner. I think they did that with Portugal/Zulu a few weeks ago and that's how we got a good look at the Zulu on the map finally.

That would be soooo awesome! :D Please have Maria I as one of the opponents this time, I want to see her leaderscreen already! We finally got to see Poland's in action in the latest demo, the only one which we have barely seen in Portugal's (and the unannounced, obviously)...

For the night is dark and full of terrors?

Gah, I want to be 100% certain of that purple civ!

Oooohhh, how Firaxis likes to mess with our head!
Shortly after the last demo, they dropped the Moroccan Spearman subtle hint, and that lead to a month of bickering back and forth whether it was relevant or not, and now they do this! They are pulling our strings, hanging their bottles of water in front of us to follow like mules!...

Jeez people, I'm still nursing my disappointment over Vietnam and you're already thirsty for new info? Tsk tsk, greedy people.

Given we have two civs left, will they reveal the two at once, or will they do one and then the last one like how they did with Sweden in G&K?

Kate mentioned on Twitter earlier today that she is working on something for Civ. So this week may yet provide something to wet our whistles. Or maybe next week. I haven't really pinned down how much time she puts in on these little projects.

I figure it's not a featurette since those have such a long production time they are all probably done already. All Kate really has to do for those is Like-mongering and post it to Facebook.

I really really really doubt it's a teaser for another set of civs. Zac Minor indicated that he hadn't been called yet to come and check them out. They have to give him (and others) a little time to get over to Firaxis and produce his video before they start teasing the leaders, you know?

It's probably another set of Q&A if you ask me. A new Livestream playthrough would be cool though, if you read this, Kate.

I hope the next civs reveal won't be teased with darkened icons, like Morocco and Indonesia. Those were far too easy. Shadows are nice, Maria's shadow yielded a good amount of pages of discussion. I wouldn't mind bits of concept art either, like they did with Gustavus, but they'd have to give something to talk about.
