I would get my tools with pink handles if that was an option.
Why? I guess you like the color pink because of your avatar, but it's honestly insulting that so many things marketed to women are pink. It's like we're not supposed to want normal things.

The only pink stuff I'm using right now is my scissors (don't care what color the handles are, but when I needed to buy a pair of scissors, the only ones left had pink handles) and my pajamas are pink. The stuff in my tool drawer looks like normal stuff from a normal hardware aisle. It's not "Martha Stewart pink".

Micheal's has hugely overpriced stuff, marketed nearly exclusively to gullible women. If you want real precision tools to do crafting, try an electronic supply house (not the Source or Radio Shack.) A place like Ko-Hen on the North hill had a bunch of good pliers and cutters at reasonable prices. However, that was 14 years ago, they may not be there anymore.

But none of them were pink! (I hate pink tools too. The exception is the hammer which I bought a friend at a breast cancer awareness event, but I refused to buy the rest of the pink tools they were hawking for myself. I just gave a donation instead. My friend likes pink for some reason.)

I just checked the phone book, and they are still there. I'll keep them in mind next time I need something.
