Can you tell who it is?

IIRC If everyone is patched up the only way someone could have different values would to have a mod or patch running which may or may not be "legal"/authorized.
 
The only way I could tell for sure would be to constantly monitor pitboss. The oos message shows up, but there is no time stamp. Since I don't know just when it ocurred I can't trace the event using civstats to see who tripped it.

I don't think anything sinister is going on; it might just be somebody accidentally trying to enter through Warlords.

As a result of an "incident" I am proposing modification/clarification of the "no double move" rule.

Double moves during wartime are permitted when there remains less than 2 hours on the play clock.

This rule will be upheld unless further discussion here suggests otherwise.

Why change from the previous idea which was allowed after 8-9 hrs of turn??

Without knowing the details of this "incident" it would be hard to judge whether a change in rules is necessary.
 
You dont need to change anything..I simply didnt have time to play when I posted as I was not on a civ computer. And I never got back in time to play. I dont understand why its an incident since I missed my turn due to my own actions unlike when you reloaded and I missed it because there was only 3 hours left on the timer.

There is no need to change the rules since sonny played his turn.. and we already have the previous rule. In addition there is NO rule that says a player HAS to play every turn. Sometimes its beneficial to miss a turn or 2. You can sorta "prebuild" a unit as a tech is founded since hammers carry over.

This game should demonstrate one thing...the futility and absolute annoyance of trying to enforce a no DM rule for the every turn. In a way, I actually look forward to not having to play this gamewhen i am eliminated or its over, trying to figure out when I am allowed to play instead of when I can play based on my schedule is a royal pain in the backside.

Not with the game itself BUT with the timing of the turns and having to make sure I check who played when. We at CDZ knew what was up and what was coming once you and FR attacked me. We also knew that another team would either attack us or CFC since we were at war so long...its the logical action. Of course, now that team is a virtual lock to win this game, They would have to let my 3 year old manage their empires not to win.

Again its how things usually go in multiplayer civs, the team that picks the best moment usually wins. CFC is out since they are 3( and you with only 1 city), we are gone since your attack on me. StG unless they have lots of land to themselves wont be able to overcome PALs new territory pumping out troops along with the highly promoted ones that are war hardened. PAL is a virtual lock to win either by simply out teching and going space or by warring with CFC or StG. All they have to do is kill one on StG and the game is over. You wont be able to compete....of course you could have game long peace deals in place in which case your hosed by their increased production and tech rate.

Quick "first" wars are the only way to go in multiplayer...otherwise both lose. The long "second" war that occurs in midgame..usually determines the winner. End game wars never seem to work to determine the game if both parties unless one has used the first or second war to gain a advantage. Look back on this post in a few months and see if I(we really) called it right.

Well thats a nice lesson in Civ4 warfare. This war against you was meant to be a quick first war you mention. But you got copper via your trade route and it turned out to be a much longer war then expected.

And here is a prediction from me: your team and my team will not be long in this game.

YEP...agree on both...unless you become a vassal ;)
 
I came home from work to find the connection dead again. My problem has been a faulty USB connection. That being fixed by plugging in the modem to a different USB port things should be ok.


I reloaded to the beginning of the new turn. HitAnyKey needs to retake his turn.
 
remember when we had to replay a turn because sonny complained about a double move...

Count back how many times he has done it since then. He did it again today. He also attacked me. I am just pointing out his disregard for the rules. He abides by them when its in his favor....nice reputation to have.

We need a judgement, if this is allowed say it and let the free turn taking begin. I am no longer following the no DM rule if this is allowed to continue.
