I will tell you...I had spears they had chariots and archers. I was able to whip and produce just enough units to keep pace. My metal was gifted from my team so they coudlnt cut it off. Result...20 turns of me hitting enter waiting for help. They also wasted shields building settlers one thats dead and one new city that I cant wait to burn.

yes I am down to low production/food...BUT that recovers really quickly...quicker than being dead.

Then again, maybe your virus does It can as well be someone else's virus forging letters with your email but it will be better to check for viruses just in case if you don't use antivirus all the time.

the game is also nice enough to shade the sea tiles that are blocked

Yes, there seems to be some kind of conflict. The Network Socket Error is raising it's ugly head when you try to join. I can't find much info about this error except that it's a communications error. It can be caused by noise on the line.

Do you use any kind of funky communications programs?

Game is back up with 4 1/2 hours to go in year 1000.

The NSE caused a 1 1/4 hour gap in real time before I could load the recovery file. Several players have yet to play this turn.

I got in. I have Trillian, but that should not cause the problem, so I have removed the glance tab and see if that might have been the cause of the problems.
