Maybe Britain, France and the USA went "lol Germany you can do whatever you want" and ignored their imperialism and Russia and Austria-Hungary collapsed like they would have done anyway.

...then Germany, most trollingly, sent aid to the Irish rebels so they could get a military ally west of Great Britain, dooming Britain to face a German and Irish front if another war broke out.

POE is still due to run, provided there's enough check ins, at least.
The time would probably be the 1960s or so, when the strains of empire will start becoming apparent after a brief reprieve due to the lack of World War II.
I had the idea the Soviet Union would have been under Trotsky just for fun.
As for Ireland, that will probably be independent or autonomous in the final version; I just wanted to color in Europe for a rough idea.
While the chief alliance blocs would be America-Britain, Germany-Japan and the USSR from a historical perspective, this can always change.
My main idea is that outside the developed areas, there will be colonies that begin as subordinate but could very well try and break off; players would be free to assume control of any power from the mighty Germans or Americans to the most pitiful of banana republics.

By the way: what is the state of India after British defeat costs? Is India one or did it end up partitioned into India and Pakistan?
Speaking of India; how is China in this time? Mao or did a difference occurrence be, if it be from different Communist leader, Nationalist victory, Japanese holding, the Republic of China withstanding in continuity or imperial renewal?

Germany craves ports on the Channel, so the Flemish provinces are staying. 
With regards to Britain: Britain wasn't beaten, so much as signed an honorable surrender returning Germany's colonies. The Royal Navy was able to hold the line and thus prevent any major concessions on the part of the British Empire.
France, being on the doorstep of the Central Powers and with no American help coming, was not so lucky.
You imply I ever cared much for insanely historically-accurate maps.

Austria and the Sudetenland are a must for German territory (and Bohemia gets thrown in simply because it would look weird sticking out there) while Crimea was going to be colonised.
Mine is more consistent with the German plan for eastern Europe:
Pan-Germanism and the need for more ports handle the rest.

The newer version of the map has Holland incorporated into Germany, though Denmark is free, as is Poland.
Well, "free" at least. Much of Europe remains under the German yoke either way.
