You like this map? :)

Note on "Oceans" - units will not be able to cross oceans, and by extension colonize/attack/trade with anything on the other side of them, until they have sufficient tech to do so.

no. its impossible to control only the modern istanbul province with that map.

It's kinda small.

And by kinda, I mean extremely. The territories are way too big.

You should make the Bering an ocean, or else the Russians will get a headstart in colonizing. ;)

Umm... That and make Texas and probably some other areas less lopsided.

However, I suggest that you, Omega, make a new thread so we can discuss your game, as we are in exile from this game what we say means little here.

The passive-aggressive attitude isn't helping much either.

Those enormous territories do need to be broken up, otherwise they could be remarkably game-breaking.

in addition, please add a province to the Asian side of the Bosporus.

And it kinda cuts like half of Russia and Canada off.

Personally I don't like that map that much. Everything looks scewed, badly. Can't we get a map that is accureate to what the planet actually loooks like? Most of the maps with more even territories also seem very inaccurate, which would grate at my nerves the whole game.

True. They would only get as far as Alaska, though. ;)

If the territories are big, it means the land there isn't very productive. I divided up the territory so they very (very) roughly close to each other in productivity and habitability. So, big territories don't cost any more than smaller territories to claim. This eliminates the problem where big territories cost more to claim but can be captured the same way as smaller territories.

How about we just pretend it's there, and you get it when you claim Istanbul.

Actually, the original HoI2 map I based it on looks even worse. I had to redraw some areas altogether, particularly southern Asia. If you color in each territory to create modern countries, you'll see the borders will match, or almost match.

Just the northern coast, which, seriously, isn't of much use to us.

Can you be a little more mature about it? You're only ruining our chances of getting back in. I love IOT, and I'm not going to let a stupid ban stop me from helping its development.

Anyways, how would Russia could only colonize Alaska? They could use it as a jumping point to colonize Eastern Canada, the Columbia region, California, Central Canada, the Great Plains, and beyond.

True, true. forgot about that.. :p

Alright, rename Bering to the Arctic Ocean then. :)

They won't let us anyway.

And, the thing is, I consider your IOT the official one anyway at this point.

Also, they have banished us FOREVER. If Joecoolyo changes his position I'll change mine. Until then, I'm done here.
