IOT: Land Ho!

updated my claims, now how does the battle system work? Dose each army I have equal an attack, and if so can I stack them to increase my odds of victory?

The max amount of damage you can do per battle is equal to the number of armies you have in that battle. So stacking helps.

Also, if you're attacking I need you to PM me a visual battle map of how you're gonna attack

When will an update happen?

Tomorrow night, probably.

The Pillaging Continues

The CF guerillas have burned down the house of promenint business man, Jose Fernando. He is outraged, and has provided funding to the Patrol to track down the guerillas.

The CF guerillas have also burned 100 protestant villagers inside their homes.

King Ramiro II is outraged, and blames the Pope for these attacks. He demands that the Pope call off or excommunicate "his little toys."

NPC's- who converted to Protestantism:

Well, sine the UNR has Freedom of Religion in place due to its varying areas of control, I do not know how that ties me in.

Since you somehow have freedom of religion in the 15th century (borderline powergaming), it doesn't apply to you.

He's a merchant nation, having one state religion would be suicide stability wise. It makes sense to have (relatively) free religion.

Freedom of Religion existed in the 15th century. The Mongolian Empire used Freedom of Religion due to the amount of resources it would take to establish and maintain one religion. Plus, each country in the Union is independent, and governs the country as they see fit, establishing their own state religions. Each of them are represented at a council where they discuss how to maintain peace. Like a miniature HRE.

If I am correct, the following are converting, right?

Aragon
UK

Is that it?

Never. Again.

There's a main country in every union.

I prefer Andorra, considering that's where my capital is.

Other examples: the Ottoman Empire (though Sunni Islam is the official religion, the other religious communities were under little pressure to convert and were self-governing, except for Shias), the Kingdom of Sicily (under Norman rule, when there were a large number of Muslims under Christian rule), the Kingdom of Bohemia (under the short-lived Basel Compacts) and a bit later in France (Edict of Nantes).

Also Protestant? Ok, thanks.

Duly noted. Thank you.

I forgot to mention AA:

That lion. I love it.

A few notes:

Red_Spy, you need to change your orders. You can't launch an American expedition yet as you have no navy;

Muscovy and the Golden Horde make peace to unite against the common heathen, Llanfar;

Tyo, Navies are 1 EP each, not 1/2 EP;

Double A, I don't believe I received orders from you. Your PM orders don't add up to the total amount of EP you have;

hoplitejoe, don't believe I got orders from you either.

taillesskangaru, the same goes for you.

Mosher, do you want me to carry out your orders aside from attacking Somalia?

Now if I could get the above persons to respond quickly, I could update within the next few hours. But I know that's not going to happen :gripe:

Sultan Alphonse I, Emperor of the Austrians, emerges from his bedchamber, naked except for a towel around his waist, looking very annoyed.

"You dogs! I told you not to disturb me at this time of night!"

The panicked-looking palace officials gathered in the throne room stammers incoherently. Finally, the Grand Vizier speaks.

"My Padishah, the Hungarians have declared war!"

Now it is the Sultan who is stammering incoherently.

"But, My Padishah, you need not worry. Our troops are strong and at maximum readiness. We shall be victorious. Inshallah."

"Oh, oh right. Chief Armourer, gather the provisions for campaign. The vile infidels shall pay for their insolence. Army commander, ready the troops, we must strike first. Foreign Minister, tell the Hungarians to go themselves. I will... get dressed... and... um... I will meet my troops in Pressburg on the border in the morning. Slaves, gather my belongings. We're leaving in a water-clock hour. Go, go, go!"
