Also, is there no map between the 100/200 province I&B ones and the >1000 province RIOT map?

SoM2 has a smallish map, but there are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too few territories in North America and Europe, especially compared to Africa.

I merely wanted to get rid of the blockyness of the USA and Australia.

EDIT: Has around 320-340 provinces or so depending on what islands count as a full province or part of a province, or an island chain province. I counted 320, but didn't count most of the islands. Another dozen or two could probably be acquired through manipulation of what counts and what doesn't

It's not the shape of the provinces, its their distribution. Fact is, the most busy regions are almost always Europe and North America, and the SoM2 map had a relatively low proportion of provinces in the US and Canada. Even the SoM3 map has such problems (at least the last one posted in the IOT Development Thread), with tons of provinces in places such as West Africa, and comparatively few in North America, although Europe is well covered.
