iPhone X

The iPhone X from an Android user’s perspective

Another good take. (I'm not a huge fan of The Verge, but I like Vlad's writing.)

I've kind of glossed over how awesome Qi charging is since I've been using it since 2012 - but the ecosystem for it now is pretty bad. I've got a 3-coil Nokia charger from 2012 that still works great, but I haven't been able to find anything comparable to charge my phone at my office. The charges now are all questionable from either an electrical perspective (all the Chinese brands) or a design perspective (come on Samsung, why would I want a fan in my charger?). I expect Apple entering the market will give us a wealth of quality chargers from reputable manufacturers within the next year.
IDT gave me a reference design qi charger :smug:

Every other day there's an article about some new scammy thing Apple has done, my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 still holding up great even with a cracked screen, eventually I'll probably buy a new one.

If you think Apple is scammier than Samsung, you've got terribly biased sources for your articles.

Apple's no Newman's Own, but of tech giants, they're one of the most responsible ones when it comes to social action, environmentalism, customer focus, privacy, etc.

If you want to pay a lot of money for a low-performance, insecure phone that is socially and environmentally fair, look at the Fairphone.
