Oy guys, I want in.

I have to choose from some of the NPC countries, right?

That's what TK said.

I am a man who double checks everything.

That being said, judging by the map, the Incan Empire is a lonely NPC with no one to take care of it. I'd like to crown myself Sapa and guide my nation through the tumultuous 19th century. Are huzzah's in order, tailless?

The plan was for a revolutionary Britain (as opposed to a revolutionary France) and "Protestantism" in this case developed on the American frontiers then spread back to Britain.

Sounds exceedingly idiosyncratic... and unlikely. I mean it would be like IRL Mormonism finding its way back to become Britain's dominant religion. You'd have to explain why Britain went "revolutionary" as well (France went revolutionary and remained Catholic, and it only went revolutionary due to the stupidity of the King at the time of the revolution [and only remains revolutionary today due to the Franco Prussian wars deposition of Louis Napoleon])

Confirmed

I've got nothing really special planned for the Incas, so you are clear to write a background.

Perhaps something like this happening, but earlier and much more serious, with recent military defeats at the hands of the French and their allies, and a more tyrannical monarchy.

Alrighty, I think I have most of the world's history nailed down, so I'll try and keep aligned; tell me if I hit any rough spots though.

INCAN EMPIRE

Capital: Cuzco

History:

The Inca Will Rise Again

Ever since the attempted conquests, this has been the motto of the Great Empire. Around the 16th century, the first attempt began. The Sapa Inca, Huyana Capac, had just died, and left the throne to his son, Ninan Cuyochi. 500 men, under the command of Pizzarro, made their way to Cuzco, feigning interest in seeing the Sapa Inca. The plot to overthrow the Sapa Inca was soon discovered though, and the man and his small army were massacred and dealt with. During his thirty year reign, Ninan Cuyochi would fend off three more attempted invasions, and manage to preserve the Empire.

The invasions stopped mid-late century, and by then, the invasion of plague had exacted its full toll. Millions of people had died, and eventually Ninan Cuyochi would succumb to disease himself. The death of Ninan threw the empire into turmoil, and civil war raged between various claimants to the throne, groups seeking independence from the throne, and those looking to take advantage of the lack of law and order. For 70 years, the empire wrestled with attempting to subdue rebellions, claimants, and stop the general chaos. The Empire went through 12 Sapa Inca's in the process of this reunification.

By the early-17th century, the civil war had ended, and the rebellions successfully put down. In doing so, the Empire had lost a significant amount of territory, and was a shell of its former greatness. Slow expansion, and rebuilding took place over the next century, as the empire expanded, cities were rebuilt, and population regrew after the plagues and the civil war.

Come the 19th century, the Empire has surpassed its former greatness, and has grown far beyond its historical borders. Pushing past the Andes into the plains of the east, as well as the edge of the great rainforest. The Inca now have a port city on the Eastern ocean, and a burgeoning settler population. It was there though, that they came into contact with the first invaders since 300 years earlier, the Chumpu people. Unlike the previous invaders, the chumpu were not openly hostile, and did not attempt to overthrow the Sapa Inca, so cordial relations were established. But never beyond that, for wariness of the throne being threatened again. They formally call themselves "New Holland", or "Dutch", but the name Chumpu stuck as that was the most prominent color on their flags.

From the north, the previous invaders had returned, under the guise of "Colombia". Defensive positions, and large army groups remain on the border should they ever attempt to re-invade the Empire, and overthrow the Sapa Inca. Relations have not been established, and the Sapa Inca refuses any advances to do so.

And so, the course of the Inca is anything but known from here on out. The beginning of the 19th century has seen the invaders reappear on the borders of the new Empire, but no attempts to overthrow the Sapa Inca have yet occurred. What happens next, only history will tell. But, throughout all that could possibly happen, one thing is certain. The Incan Empire will live. Through Iron and Blood, The Inca Will Rise Again.

But the Brits were already protestant by then :p, either way, so long as you can forge a reasonable justification for it, its your game. (although I obviously think that no Protestantism at all should likely be involved, since the Islamic push into Europe I think would of naturally led to a more unified Catholic faithful, and to a greater unwillingness from state authorities to leave the Catholic fold in favour of politically isolating heresy)

Sorry I was gone for so long. I had a thing that meant no Internet until now.

Can I rejoin as Iran?

I hope not, I'm excited for it :(
