If Civ VII drops a bombshell feature that hypes me up, yes i will i guess.
Otherwise nah. Still stuck on IV and V lol

Given the abysmal FXS track record with Civ VI bugfixing, no way I'm buying this on release. Thank you very much for horrible Civ VI UI experience, I won't forget it in a hurry. I also remember 2017 Summer patch, thanks again. A few months' wait for a fix until the Autumn patch. And when we have this compared to a certain urgent hotfix within a day or two, cutting one sentence from one Eastern leader, I think I'll better wait to see how the game actually looks like and develops. The wrecking ball of NFP. No. No more Civ preorders from me. I intend to wait for big discounts, unless the game turns out outstanding and flawless, and not some sort of Oprah, distributing Deity victories left, right and centre.

hmmm well it depends on the info we get in the follow few weeks/months. I doubt ill preorder though, i never really do that.

Civ is literally the only I gave I pre-order.

Having said, I should probably update to that to "depends on what the plan is for mac release".

Normally I’m waiting a year or two for other games until everything gets fixed. As for Civ, I lack strong will. Pre-order.

I have to be honest.... I want something new and fresh. Those who know or remember, I've been defending Civ6 here in the forums ever since it was released. But I have to admit, there are some mechanics that, while interesting, feel a bit worn?

That's why for the past four years, I've been keeping my finger on games that want to put (or attempt to put) a new, fresh spin on the 4x genre like Humankind, Old World, Millenia and ARA: History Untold. I hope that Civ7 will give us something that would push forward the genre, or at least give us innovative mechanics, while still feeling like a Civilization game.

But please don't interpret my words as if I'm expecting something unrealistic. I am tempering my expectations. I would have to wait until more info and more gameplay comes up, as well as reviews, before I would make that purchase.

Only one correct answer to this on CivFanatics.

Yep, the moment it's available for Pre-Order, I will be buying in. Regardless of the overall quality of the launch release, I know that I will be playing it regularly and it will eventually be smoothed out through expacs

I got five and never loaded it because of what I read here. Never got six. When you guys tell me it's better than Civ IV I will buy it twice and gift it five times. Not before.

Frankly I don't think they can make a better game and wouldn't even if they could because with 4 they were close to making the last game anyone needed. Making a better game is not the goal, the goal is making money. So, that's it.

But if they could make something dynamic with an AI that felt like a real opponent and the possibility of having unique games. Sure.

Nope. I've been with Civ since the beginning, but this one is going to be a wait and see for me. They are going to need to do something amazing to get me to buy. Games these days come half baked and buggy, so I'll be waiting.
