Is Nancy Pelosi the worst person ever? Discuss..

It's times like this I wish there was an emoticon for someone slapping the head of another person.

Heh, sorry, I'll do myself in... :hammer2: I freely admit one of my failings in online discussions is that I frequently miss subtle, and even not so subtle, between the line messages and so forth.

As long as Nancy Pelosi opposes allowing the impeachment of George W. Bush, she's a tool in my book.

If she hadn't, she'd have handed the Republicans a bigger hammer to respond to the "my Republican opponent = Bush = Iraq" tactic with, and the Dems might not have carried the House yesterday.

She is just full of air and needs a friendly poke.

Its reassuring to know that electoral office is still gained in this 21st century of 'equality' and 'democracy' by lies, misinterpretation, and blatant idiocy.

I hope she is content knowing her office was gained by ignoring a war criminal.

She is what she is--a San Francisco moonbat leftie. Worst person ever would still have to go to Ted Kennedy, tho. At least Pelosi hasn't killed anyone. Pelosi will talk a good game about bipartisanship, yada yada, but within six months we'll see the Donkeycrats' true colors.

Yep, a democracy by any other name... :)

I'm sure she won't lose any sleep over it, knowing her moonbat constituency doesn't have any choice but to vote for her - any farther left and they'd be looking at the Golden Gate Bridge from the bluewater side.

However, I think Ms Pelosi (if shes human) is the absolute worst person alive in America.
While I'm afraid of what a Speaker Pelosi might do the U.S., I certainly don't think she's "the absolute worst person alive".

I agree. It's like they are saying "You can buy my freedoms from me." I wonder if they would say the same if we offered them a tax cut in exchange for their guns.

So I am not the only one! All the libertarians I know like the Republicans more. Last time I checked, you couldn't put a price on freedom.

Here's where I see the problem for the democratic party. They've won a battle but more than anything else they need a great communicator for House leader.

When Nancy stops referring to Dubya as "incompetent" and Dubya stops referring to Nancy as a "latte liberal/limosine liberal," a basis for constructive cooperative legislation will be established.

Unless she becomes less strident and more of a statesman, she may have problems delivering her extreme liberal policies. She's never been known as a policy innovator and has only a slim record of legislative accomplishment.

Pelosi's career is a classic example of checkbook politics. She married money (her husband, Paul, is a former banker who became a wealthy real estate developer) and the Pelosi fortune makes her the richest member of California's House delegation.
I think we should scan the weather reports for "snow in hell" because with these two egos it looks we're in for 2 years of gridlock! I'm a big fan of the "Gridlock" party. :D

In this morning's paper (Helsingin Sanomat), there was an article about Nancy Pelose, and who she is. So:
- she's a "San-Fransisco Libertarian"
- she wants to raise taxes
- she wants to improve the "social status" of gay couples
- she voted against the invasion of iraq
- she's not a "media-person"
- she's a "left-field player"

That's not too bad. You americans could have it worse. Like a Republican for the job she's got. And a conservative... but now I'm repeating myself.

;)

I often tend toward being a libertarian too, and as one I am not a fan of the extreme wings of either party. The Democrats are full of speeches and unity right now, but the moderate wing of the party has a huge mistrust of the hardcore liberals like Pelosi and friends. It will be interesting to see how long until the two groups end up at odds with each other.

Worst person ever? Does this include Paris Hilton?

I think you mean a "San Francisco Liberal" - SanFran is somewhat disconnected from mainstream American politics, but if Pelosi is a libertarian of any stripe, then the town of Berkeley is going to be asking me to run for mayor on the Communist ticket.

Neomega..its obvious you have no idea about American politics or more specifically Nancy Pelosis politics. Like I said if you have anything informative to say then please add it. However so far it seems you simply are some socialist machine. You can spit out the lines they've fed you, but it makes no difference. Anyone that knows American HoR politics knows Nancy Pelosi is a far left partisan. Thats her record. If you are the uninformed to know that, then please step outside the thread.

She is obviously not the only partisan in the world, hint, hint.

Here's the excellent On The Issues site: http://www.ontheissues.org/CA/Nancy_Pelosi.htm
