Is there a trade info screen that shows my existing trade routes and how many routes I have available?

I don't seem to be able to find the info in the UI that shows how many active trade routes I have. Nor how many trade routes I can have with each civ. Where do I see that?

I don’t even understand how you start a trade route. I click on the proposed trade route and nothing happens…
You have to phisically move the merchant to the city you want to trade with and activate him there. After that the traderoute does its thing and you get the resources while the target gets gold.

You can also use traders to make roads.

Build a merchant. The merchant's interface shows available routes. Move the merchant to an eligible city (except in Modern). Then click the "Make Trade Route" button in the lower right (in Antiquity and Exploration) or select the city from the list and click confirm (in Modern).

I think this would work better if it just replicated the system from Civ VI where you can establish a trade route from the starting city.

I rather like moving the Merchant to the desired city. The menu based system in Civ 5 and 6 is so dull. The problem for me is the small nondescript buttons for everything.
