Whether you know it or not, the quanta of downtownian matter are affecting the direction of society, as seen in the picture. You, Perfection, as a member of society, are being acted on by these downtownian particles. This eliminates any possibility for free will associated with the OP; "what downtown does" is what everyone does, all the time, according to the Chicagohagen school of thought.

As mentioned previously in your post, the transubstantiation of downtowness into different forms (astronaut, lion tamer, etc.) is merely a mechanic property of the universe we inhabit. Our classification of downtowness into different forms is merely a way for us to grasp the concept of downtowness. So what we should do is reject any labels associated with downtowness. This way, scientists such as Bill3000 can more precisely monitor whether downtownian matter is a feature of the universe, or a property which arose independently of it.
