Great finish and great start! I'm following this one to the end like I did with the one you just finished.

I'm fighting hard to keep China out of my territory. A warrior wall is formed so they can't get past.

Five units is place.

All six units are in place, they can not get past me unless they declare war!

I am a very powerful nation.

Settlers are built rapidly to fill the land.

The Colossus is completed by the Incans.

Worthless Chinese deals...

Kagoshima is built right up to the Chinese border.

I have a slightly higher population than my competiton.

And I am more powerful that the Chinese. War may be coming soon.

Next time - tensions increase between the Chinese and the Japanese.

(Use this formula to figure out food, etc.

It's only -1 in despotism if it's more than 2. In despotism I just road, and mine some BG's for settler factory purposes, but everything else is roaded, so I can irrigate most in republic (each city will become size 12 really quick, and then mining can be done).

No, I thought it was best to play a few regent games before trying Monarch.

I'm falling behind in technology. What will I do?

Military support is 0, so I can build a bigger military to invade China.

All of the cities are in place, the core cities (by Kyoto) are building military units for the war.

Meanwhile, cutting China off has really helped me be become more powerful than them.

The Incas get another wonder, they may be somewhat powerful.

A galley is exploring Chinese territory. I get worried at this point, how big could China be?

War is declared and I take Beijing. The Chinese seem to be broke however.

Fighting this war is easy! They are only going to bother attacking Beijing and not focus on anything else.

I did not accept this offer, although is sounds good. I am going for Shanghai!

Tsingtao looks worthless, but I will take it.

Next time - One war ends and another begins, who am I going to go for?

No, nothing is changed. The thing is that I am so much more poweful the Chinese, they will do anything to end the war with me.

I think it is okay to ask for cities. Most of the time in early war I only sign a peace treaty if I can get one more city out of it without having to take it over.

The attack on Shanghai has failed for now, and I sign a peace treaty.

A look at my new city. It does increase the military support rate by 4.

The Zulus are finished with the Pyramids.

A look at my entire civilization.

War is redeclared on China! Shanghai has been taken, but I am not sure on Tsingtao's future.

Oops, I lost the city. Oh well, I gained a better one.

More wonders are being completed while I am focusing efforts on the military.

Due to my falling behind in tech, I spend some money to catch up.

At least my economy looks better than the Nikkei has been doing this morning.

Next time - The AI fight a war, I sit back and watch.

I'm a newbie to Civilization... the only game I have is Civ3 (regular, I didn't buy Complete)... I see what I've been missing though. I've been playing this game a lot since about Thanksgiving. I'm already addicted to it.

I suppose the point I'm trying to make is that I hope to be as good as you are some day! I'm still stuck on chieftan level.

By the way, how do you take snapshots of the game like that?

Yay! An update! I would really be looking for the Zulus and all those other civs that have the wonders, and go for their cities, man. Then declare peace.

Otherwise, can't wait to see Mao cry to his mommy.

You hit the Alt and Print Scrn keys at the same time, and then you can paste the picture on paint or another photo editing program.

We are doing well. With iron, horses, and three luxury resources I have no problem keeping people happy.

More wonders for the Incans. I haven't even met them yet!

Canton is going to fall to me with my group of 10 archers.

It is destroyed, and Yokohama is built on the rubble.

As you can tell, China is almost dead. Time to take their last city.

Well, I took it, but the Chinese are not gone. They have a settler on a boat or another city not within my reach. They are still harmless to me.

Changing to Republic would be a bad idea, military costs would not balance out the trade benifits.

France is doing something, they are moving a lot of units near my area.

NOTE: France is not at war with me, they are at war with Carthage.

Free land! I wonder who will get to that spot first? (The settler is cut off at the bottom of the picture.)

Next time - A war with someone other than China, guess who it is with the current civilizations.

Finally into the next age, my civilization is likely last or close to it on technology.

Well, with all of those military units sitting there, war will come to the Zulus. They are weaker than the French, and I want to pick them off.

The war starts. This is the beginning of my third war.

China is in a land somewhere far from mine.

A peace treaty is signed due to the fact I don't know where they are... At least I cleaned them out.

Hlobane is taken and I still have plenty of troops!

One boat for Zulu attack, that won't be good enough.

The Zulus have a higher score than the French, but realize that the French did win a war with Carthage.

I want to know what the French are up to.

They have the Statue of Zeus. That provides a free military unit every five turns. Going to war with France would be much harder than the Zulu.

Next time - The war continues.

Ooooooo. This is getting better. I would, if this is possible, delclare peace with the Zulu, try to move quickly into the French territory torwards, Paris. With about maybe 25 units attack Paris, capture, then declare peace. Then you've got the calvary and the Satue. But those ancient calvary are deadly. I hate those freaking things!

But anyway, this is fun to read cause there are so much pics.

EDIT: This is strange. I hardly ever see rivals at war with each other and actually destroy cities. Even on regent...

Looks like the French didn't get that wonder. I am worried about the Incans though.

Bapedi is taken, that is the third city that I have taken from the Zulus.

I took over their capital and got a free wonder.

I'm running out of gas on this war, it does sound like a good idea to sign peace treaty. I got some good techs off of them too.

Power is moving to my favor. I am now more powerful than the French, Zulus, Carthage, and China combined. I still don't know about the Incans.

I think the Zulus only have one city left.

I need to build some more cultural improvements! I also want to fill in that land area. As you realize, the Zulus had some horrible land.

Next time - Two wars will be fought with two different nations. Feel free to guess, you know all of the civilizations by now.
