Hmmm. Didn't see anything about fixing fighters/jet fighters so they actually intercept nuclear bombers....
Also, didn't see any balance to nuclear missiles other than a flavor tag alteration which, presumably, will make the AI build slightly less of them. No SDI building/national wonder to counter nuclear missiles then. That's a shame for those of us that actually like to play into the late eras.

People have said that the Pyramids is now useless. I disagree. Want to build an early worker?? Well, instead, build this wonder and get the worker plus all future workers build faster plus you get great engineer point and 1 culture... Not so bad in my opinion.... Would suck to be beaten to it though and have to start fresh on the worker... Someone mentioned that it would be nice that if you are beaten to awonder (GL for example), that your hammers would be transferred to the regular building/unit type; ie: beaten to GL, your hammers go to library production, beaten to stonehenge, hammers go to monument, Gright lighthouse, lighthouse. And so on. I like this idea.

If history is any indicator, it will come out the following week. The last patch was expected late April/early May. It came out the first week in May.

I do not post much, but I play CiV often and read the forums on occasion. In CiV, the occasion is usually to check the status of patches.
My two cents: The thought behind the patch seem to be right on point. I am not worried about the happiness alterations. They look to be alterations, not nerfs. We will simply have to secure our happiness using different means than we are accustomed to. NP, I believe we can (and will) adjust.
I think the logic behind the SP changes is enlightened. Completion bonuses (which appear to be substantial) will have an (positive, I think) effect on everyone's strategy. There are no legitimate shortcuts to culture, and neglecting culture can now put a play at a distinct disadvantage on many fronts.
Overall, I think depth has been improved (and I think depth in a game is why most of us are here). The two concerns I have, on which I will just have to wait and see, are (1) whether the AI will be able to optimize in its activity in light of the changes (tough to anticipate and thus to code) and (2) what unintended consequences will arise from the patch (best case mostly positive but hopefully at least nothing game breaking).

Don't know if anyone's pointed this out but Total War is essentially two policies: it requires all the other autocratic policies thus unlocking itself and tree finisher.
i don't like the new patch that much. it hampers the cultural win greatly (look at the changes for hermitage, broadcast towers and sixtine chapel...) plus why they didn't require computers for satellites is beyond me. they didn't even boosted the landmark. finally castles are almost useless now with 4 def.
I think the goal was to make a Cultural Victory not be that much faster than a Science one. Likewise, the time on the Diplomatic Victory also got pushed back a little. I think all three should be close to on par now.
As for the Domination Victory, I think the Longswordsman nerf will certainly slow it down in some cases, but good Domination players will always be able to win with this condition much earlier than the other three. There's not a whole lot you can do about that without making enormous changes to the game.

It's been mentioned that the Landmark is the only "Great Tile" to not get buffed as the game progresses. However, if you build a Landmark, it means that you are going the Culture VC route which in turn means that you are going to pursue the Freedom SP tree at some point, and the "finisher" for that tree is: "+100% yield from Great Tile Improvements and increase length of Golden Ages by 50%.". I would say that the first part of that is a big buff to Landmarks.

I don't know that it hampers the cultural victory so much as makes it more of a game-long effort. The changes reduce total potential per-turn cultural output in a given city, granted. But they also bring a fair amount of culture forward - into the now very-culture-focused Piety tree and even some into Honour; as well as a much earlier, much more accessible Hermitage. Also the penalty for culture per city is halved, meaning that policy speed may be increased in slightly larger empires that perhaps aren't such one-trick-ponies. So culture may be less of the early-game rush then slow mid-game slog then crazy late-game acceleration, but more of a consistent curve that rewards whole-game dedication more than just a tech rush to broadcast towers/christo redentor.

Removed dead players from Demographics UI.
[GAMEPLAY]
Fixed Oligarchy bug that was causing the effect to expire when loading from a save.
Wonders:
Forbidden Palace now provides -10% unhappiness from Citizens in non-occupied Cities.
Policies:
United Front – Militaristic City States now grant units twice as often when you are at war with a common foe.

You forgot the biggest nerfs: Constitution now only gives 2 culture per Wonder, not 100% in each city with a World Wonder and Free Speech no longer reduces future policy costs.
Having said that, I like the changes. With the reduced impact on policy costs of additional cities, you can at least build a small empire rather then just 1 or 2 cities.

I totally agree. Just feels wrong, like a fantasy game or something like that...

But both of those are accounted for (the bonuses are smaller, but make up for it somewhat by being much earlier) in the new Piety tree. And the Freedom finisher now gives a huge boost to your landmarks.
They're only a little earlier. In the current patch, you can pick Free Religion and use the 2 free policies to open up Freedom and pick Constitution for the +100% per wonder city and the next pick would be Free Speech for the -25% policy cost.
The Piety finisher now gives a 10% reduction of future policy costs, so that's only one policy earlier than you can get Free Speech now, or even zero if you delay Theocracy, which you need to complete Piety, but which you don't need to get Free Religion. Similarly, Reformation is only 1 or 2 policies before Constitution.
Still, these changes make a 4-5 city empire a lot more attractive for a cultural victory. In the current patch the gap between the amount of culture that your capital would produce and what your other cities would was so large that other cities were mostly a drag.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Tradition/Liberty/Honor/Piety/Freedom as a valid combination for a cultural win.

IMO, the problem is that you can get free workers early in the game as it is. City State/barbarian camp/AI Civ. I usually get 2 workers like this - free.
The idea that you should spend so many precious hammers so early in the game to get a wonder that offers such an insignificant reward (which you can get free in other ways as mentioned), is just

I don't speak a word of German, but it seems there is going to be a DLC called "wonders of the ancient world" (new wonders?), and a civ/scenario pack with Korea. If any German civer could give us extra insight...
