International agreements between nations should be upheld. Otherwise, they lose their meaning and lead to disputes and wars. Also, treaties are not conditional. The same mistake was made when the United Kingdom and France allowed Hitler to break the Treaty of Versailles, thus leading to World War II and the Holocaust. We do not want history to repeat itself. Treaties must be upheld.

i didn't expect the Union to straight up switch sides. abandon the war, yes, but this? no.

we canceled a deal. we didn't betray it. betraying it would involve gunning down anythign yugoslavian and doing a nasty, truly nasty first strike.

In regards to commercial and civilian ships

• All commercial ships, which includes but is not limited to, freighters, tankers, sailing, fishing, personal yachts, etc. attempting to enter or exit the Mediterranean through the straits of Gibraltar will be subject to a search for contraband materials, and must state their business before being allowed to pass through the straits.
  
  
  • Contraband materials include but are not limited to.
    • Any and all drugs, which include but are not limited to.
      • Tobacco in a quantity excess of that for recreation
      • Alcohol in a quantity excess of that for recreation
      • Marijuana in a quantity excess of that for recreation
      • Crack
      • Cocaine
      • Heroin
      • Steroids without the proper prescription
      • Etc.
    • Any and all weapons
    • Any and all ammo
    • Any and all humans who are not members of a crew or immediate family of the ships owner
  • Every ship will be subject to a search and seizure of any and all contraband materials, if s ship does not comply to a search or seizure they will be turned away from the straits
    
  • In the event that a ship attempts to move through the straits after either failing to comply with a search or failing to comply with a seizure of contraband goods a warning shot from a maghrebi warship will be fired. If a ship then does not comply after the warning shot, they will be fired upon and sunk.

In regards to non commercial or civilian ships.

• Any and all military ships, which includes but is not limited to, transports, frigates, cruisers, aircraft carriers, etc. will be turned away, if any military ship does not comply they will be given a warning shot, if they do not comply after the warning shot the offending ship will be fired upon and sunk

There is: I think west African coast is free, as be parts of South America and much of Mexico. Madagascar is free if you fancy playing as the [insert govermental title here] of Madagascar.

Alliteratively one can join as a NPC. Panama and Argentina have room as NPCs, as do Central Africa.
