Little doubt exists in the minds of Canadians that the current President of the United States is either a liar and murderer or someone who can absolutely not be trusted otherwise. Opinion polls of this criminal rank the lowest ever in Canada for an American President, that sentiment existing throughout most of the world I presume. And to highlight the virulent hatred of this man, convicting George Bush of Crimes Against Humanity would not be satisfactory enough for Canadians. Yet the ineptness that exists in his administration was unfathomable by Canucks before Bush had taken office. So as consequence to his apparent election victory, Canadians had begun to place an even closer eye on their most important neighbour and wondered when this nightmare would end. The beginning of the dream was baring witness to a resurgance in Christian Fundamentalism, quite alarming to many Canadians who didn't quite grasp the necessity in this leap of faith in a world that clearly needed less religious motivation. And so Canucks, naturally preoccupied with the world around them, had harsh words for a President who was clearly the most Christian President yet. And Bush appropirately seated himself in religion for the Canadian mindset could not grasp his political and geographic daftness otherwise. The problems between Canadians and George Bush are inumberable to mention here and they are all irreconcilable.

And today I read: Ontario man charged after death threats to U.S. president

http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2008/01/11/ot-bush-threats-080111.html

This actually surprised me because I figured the amount of hatered and threats against this criminal must be overwhelming the American intelligence agency. I figured they must have been unable to keep up with any of the hatred out there! I was actually naive enough to suspect that by now there was no one person willing enough to bother actually protecting George Bush because of how infamous he was. They only charged this Ontario man because he sent e-mails directly to the White House. Apparently he is psychologically impaired. But I suspect he will get off relatively easy regardless because of the sentiments that exist in this country towards George Bush. Any other President and this man would be in jail for a while having threatened the most powerful man in the world, the leader of the United States of America, our best friend.

With the nightmare of Bush almost over for many Canadians, I wonder if we won't see more of this as we stir awake from the destructive world created by Bush. How many Americans have since forgotten their brothers north of the border, those who would have never let you go into Iraq. Please do not let anyone ever tell you again your most important neighbour is not the Canadians. We provide a most necessary balance that the British do not provide. And until Bushs departure I ask that Americans tread carefully in their decision making throughout 08, especially concerning Iran. Canada is like the kid next door who you grew up with but don't have time to talk to anymore. Please, just hear us out again, the British cannot appreciate you like we can.

Huh?

You know, I'd call Bush incompetent, perhaps not very daft, but to accuse him of criminality, and on top of that, say that the bulk of Canada believes such, without any links to stories to back it up, I mean, come on dude. Why the rant?

Canadians are omnipotent.

It's an important rant to me, someone who doesn't rant much, because I live in a border city and I interact with Americans daily. I am Canadian, I interact with Canadians and the main subject here is always what is occuring in the United States. These sentiments are very prevalent where I live, and there are so few of us (30mill) all living on the doorstep to the United States.

I encouarge you to come to Canada and ask someones opinion of George Bush. I can almost guarantee you its negative.

I myself am not the biggest fan of Bush, but just because you don't agree with the guy's policies doesn't make him a criminal.

And saying that the rest of Canada shares your views does a disservice to your countrymen and women.

I can tell you that in Europe most people belive he and his administration is a criminal.
Just give it a shot, make a poll in a European forum (like some EU forum or something) and you'll see. Try a Canadian forum to.

Ofcourse it's not representative but it's good enough for me together with that almost everyone I talk to consider him a criminal to from my teachers to my friends and family.

Maybe once we get Bush out of there, we'll get a president who'll stop the flow of medical patients seeking care here. Just to keep all those omnipotent Canadian's in their place.

Can you provide us a link to some sort of national poll that says that a majority of canadians view Bush as a criminal?

You're currently guilty of selection bias. If my friends and I have a view, it is quite likely not to be a representative view of our nation.

If you were in the US most folks would have a negative opinion of George Bush. It's a large step from negative opinions to belief that he is a criminal.

I realize it is a popular pastime to demonize Bush, but here is a little fact for you:

Bush has had near zero significant effect on 99.99 percent of the individuals alive on the globe.

Another interesting fact for you:

That would have been the case no matter who was president the last two years bar a nuclear exchange.

Now where did I leave that AMERICAN IS PIG copy-pasta?

So is there a point to this? Or is this another angsty "I can't handle how much the world sucks so I'll just blame it all on Bush cause that's what the cool kids do" moment.

So those are facts? LOL.

Please, do tell how your life is significantly different specifically because of Bush. Honestly unless you are in the US military or other military directly involved in Iraq, or of course an Iraqi, you life plods on as normal.

This should be interesting.

That an individual president doesn't have much effect on people's lives (assuming that's so for the sake of argument) doesn't answer the question of whether someone's a good or bad President.

Neither does the fact that Canadian's think he's a mass murderer...

Merkinball,

Okay?
