Legends of IOT

Either when I get all orders or on Friday ; whichever comes first.
And I have orders missing.

Yeah, I don't have nearly as much for this as I thought I did, and I start working this week.

Dropping.

Sun Kingdom - 45 EP

4 Trading Posts - 32 EP

2 Archers - 6

Bank - 7

You know, people dying, trees falling, bandits raiding, hellish creatures being summoned, cats meowing, ....
....empires falling...
And a new feature.

argh, had to change something and took longer than i thought.
It was mostly because nations haven't answered to events concerning them. because of this, I had to take decisions in their place. It's the last time I did that and if I get in this situation again, I'll do it but at the cost of your stability)

Update 2

Stats are supposed to be hidden from other players, but since that's impossible, I'm giving out only the basic stats in public. If you want detailed stats, ask away.

Reminder that Blindhill, Chong Ha, Kurman and Khay are NPC's. Also, the two nations of Kaleyon are no longer playable.
Altough players dropped, their nation is semi-NPC now. Just in case they re-join or someone joins in their place.

Western Federation.....30% RP bonus- 58 provs-116 Upkeep - 64 EP (16) - 2 TP -3 Infantry, 2 Cavalry, 2 Archers, 1 Siege Weapon and 3 Heavy Infantry

*The RP bonus will slowly fade in time. It is added to both defense and offense , and is halved when fighting against human players)
**When calculating income, the Trade bonus is NOT taken into account. To find out your REAL income, add the EP you have to (number of trade agreements you have*total number of provinces owned by nations with which you have an agreement with * 0.05) Currently, the true value is not shown, but should be ignored anyway, as I chose to remove the burden of investing in stability by keeping nations stable with the income from Trade Agreements. Unless you expressly want it invested in something else at the cost of stability, I have nothing against it.It may seem like having more trade agreement will be useless, but those with lots of trade agreements will notice steady increases in stability without investments into it.It's not like it's a big deal of income, having Trade Agreements with the whole continent will barely give 10 EP.
*** the value in parentheses after the EP is banked income. The interest rate is 10%.

========================================
Events

DON'T IGNORE EVENTS AGAIN. EVER.

7) Kurman's Last Stand and the Kidnapping of the Prince (Steelcove, Sun kingdom , Rockhill)
Knowing that his independence is short-lived, Captain Kurman has gathered as much people as he could for the final battle against Steelcove. To further aid in his cause, his second hand man has kidnapped BOTH princes of the Sun Kingdom,Wu Zi Shen and Lao Shen, and is demanding armies from the Sunk Kingdom in exchange for their release.

Effects:
-Kurman gains 4 Pirates
-Kurman and Sun Kingdom are now in conflict
-Kurman and Rockhill are now in conflict
-Sun Kingdom has to choose : 1)pay for the release of both princes , lose 10 Infantry, lose conflict with Rockhill 2) Pay only for Prince Wu Zi , lose 4 armies; 3) Pay only for Lao , lose 6 armies , gain Trade Agreement with Rockhill ; 4) pay for none, gain war with Kurman , stability drops by 50%, grand independence to Ganchu Kingdom (9 rovinces) ; 5) Hastily arrange a rescue mission , 33% chance to save Lao, 33% chance to save Wu Zi, 33% chance to fail, 1% chance to save both

8) The Death of the Unity Tree (Rantharian Empire, Western Federation)
The Unity Tree is said to have been the place where the many nations that now form the Western Federation united. Recently, in a rush for more resources, Rantharian lumberjacks crossed the Rantharian border into the federation and stole more wood for their liege, without anyone's consent. While petty border disputes such as these were often ignored by both nations, the lumberjacks' latest victim was the Unity Tree . King Sydrian I of the Rantharian Empire sent his most sincere apologies and the heads of the lumberjacks on a silver plate... but will such an offense be forgiven?

Effects:
- Stability in Western Federation drops by 10%
- Western Federation gains conflict with Rantharian Empire
- Western Federation has to chose: 1) forgive the Rantharians , lose 5% more stability, lose conflict with Rantharians; 2) Demand a higher payoff for the loss , 40% chance to gain 40 EP, 30% chance to gain one province, 30% chance to gain WAR with the Rantharians.

9)Death of Andravus (Kaleyon, Ke'a, Blindhill)
Andravus, the Archmage who ruled Kaleyon for the past 300 years, has been found dead in the Arcane Halls of Kaleyon City. Experts have stated that he was killed with a necromantic spell, which is forbidden in Kaleyon. Altough the prime suspect seems to be Naxargarrath of Ke'a, who doesn't actually have an alibi, the reserve ruler of Kaleyon , Archmage Tholar , attempted to use his energies to find out the murderer, and he pointed out towards Boris of Blindhill . Kaleyon is split into two : those who want to continue war against Ke'a (Kaleyon Loyalists, north) , and those who want to end hostilities (The Overseers, south)

Effects:
-Kaleyon splits into 2: Kaleyon Loyalists and Kaleyon Overseers
-Kaleyon Overseers gain conflict with Blindhill
-Kaleyon Overseers lose conflict with Ke'a
-Kaleyon Loyalists gain Conflict with Kaleyon Overseers

10) The New Khan (Harmarrath, Henggar, Western Federation, Argassians)
The Khan of the Harmarrath Horde has died, and his son Kaur Khan, took over. Eager for battle, Kaur Khan has sent Emissaries to the Henggar, the Western Federation , and the Argassian Confederation.

Effects:
-Argassian Confederation has to chose: 1) War with Harmarrath; 2) cede 1 province to Harmarrath
-Western Federation has to chose: 1)give up on ruling rights over Henggar Tribe , -5% stabiltiy,-10 EP, Harmarrath and Henggar gain Alliance ; 2) ignore Harmarrath's demands , gain conflict with Harmarrath, Henggar gains conflict with Harmarrath

11)The Last Dragon King(Skydon)
Skydon's military was always based on Dragons. Dragons, while seemingly just a pet for the riders of Skydon, actually have a domain of their own, in Valtharya, and a King. Recently, the last Dragon King has died of old age, and the Dragonriders of Skydon noticed hordes of Dragons flying over the mountains in circles, in homage to their dead ruler.

Effects:
- recruiting Dragon Riders is disabled for Skydon for this turn
- Skydon will gain a random amount of Dragon Riders next turn (between 0 and 3)
- Skydon gains 10 EP (already in stats)

Well, that went a bit bad :(

So, I have lost 10% stability and could lose even more. Nuts.

Let's see what I can come up with now for this turn.

Spoiler :

We shall divide this army in two:

Event 8) Option 2)
Spoiler :
Gran Maestro Romano Priggia, the leader of the Federazione Dell'Ovest, was in his office, reviewing the numbers of his latest trading venture, when someone knocked on the door.

"Come in," he said, closing his book.

The door opened, and a servant entered the room.

"Sire," the servant said, "we have received this message from the border with the Rantharian Empire. The Unity Tree has been felled."

Romano looked up, horrified. The Unity Tree had been one of the main symbols of the nation since its creation many years ago, since many years before he was born, when merchants from Passi, Fiola, Marin and Venina had met in the place and agreed to work together for their common benefit. It had been from those merchants that the first Consiglio was formed from. And such a great loss could be a blow to the people's morale.

"Has there it been any answer to that?" he asked, trying not to show anger.

"Yes. The King, as soon as he heard what had happened, sent an apology for the event, along with the heads of the men that cut it down. They were trying to get wood for the war effort, and accidentally crossed the border to cut down more trees. One of them was the Unity Tree. King Sydrian hopes that this will be enough to compensate for our loss."

Romano sighed, and looked out of the window. "It's not enough," he whispered. "Giovanni," he said, "send a message to the Consiglio. We must meet immediately."

"Yes, Sire," the servant replied and left the room. Romano paid little more attention to the man, while he reflected on what might happen. Such an attack on the soul of the nation could not remain unanswered. Would the Empire accept their demands, or would there it be war?

Event 10) Option 2)
Spoiler :
"Fellow Consiglieri," Consigliera Gianna Caprese Lommana started, "news have arrived from the south. A man coming from the territories controlled by the Harmarrath has arrived carrying a message. While the contents were quite confusing, something was clear. They are demanding that we give up all ties to the Henggar Tribe."

"No," Consigliere Cailno said. "We have spent too many resources and money in propping them up. If we do this, then everything we have done will have been for naught."

"I agree," Gran Maestro Priggia replied. "And I can guess, by the looks on your faces, that you agree as well."

"Yes," Consigliera Macara said, and the other people in the Consiglio nodded as well.

"Very well, then it is agreed. Let us ignore their demands and continue as expected."

We will pay for both of the princes release.

*The RP bonus will slowly fade in time. It is added to both defense and offense , and is halved when fighting against human players)

This is actually a pretty good idea.

Skydon - 40EP

25EP - trade center
9EP - 3 archers
6EP - 3 infantry

I thought upkeep was max units you can have.

I thought upkeep was max units you can have.

Seriously?

*checks ruleset*

Damn, those rules are really confusing. :( The way it was written, it looked like it would cost us cash to pay the initial upkeep. It is obvious that 5 EP I spent on troop training in the previous turn was misspent.

I'll have to change my orders for turn 3 to take into account the effects of these extra 5 EP in my nation (namely, six extra EP to spend, due to the fact that I'd have left 20 EP in the bank, giving me 2 EP of interests).

to milarqui and AA; having more units than your upkeep allows will only decrease stability until you get back to a normal amount of units. But do not worry. A new feature is comnig out in 2 days and will give you more Upkeep.

@Western Federation
Hearing that the heads of the lumberjacks were not enough as a payoff for the Unity Tree, King Sydrian of Rantharia panicked. His advisor hastily calmed him down and had the brilliant idea to offer a province to the Federation, as the provinces in the area were not that loyal to the Empire anyway. Western Federation gains 1 province.

@Sun kingdom.
In an attempt to solve two conflicts at once, the King of the Sun Kingdom offered to pay off for both princes, thus sending their armies to aid the Kurman. Both princes were safely returned to the Palace and Lao Shen was brought back in the court, despite his earlier banishment.

12) The Moonstones (all countries)
Moonstones are the base on any nation. They are a prerequisite for the formation of a new nation. Luckily, Moonstones are abundant everywhere, and even the tiniest nations has hundreds of them. Moonstones simply radiate magical energies, for everyone to use. Legends say that using a certain incantation and several Moonstones, one can become strong as an entire army. The incantation was lost centuries ago, but recently, a traveling mage provided the courts of all nations the lost incantation. Knowing that abusing the powers of the incantation could lead to a major disaster, most nations decided to empower one, probably two of it's most valued champions with the Moonstones' power.

Effects: Each NPC and player nation receives 2 Hero units. Those must be named by the player, unless they are named by me.
Heroes can only die in events ( or in battles where the odds and luck are completely and absolutely overwhelming ) and will always survive a battle, even if it was a lost battle. They can gain stats after battles or events. Heroes do not cost Upkeep.

Example of a Hero:
King Boris (Blindhill)
Attack: 7
Defense: 5.

The starting stats of your heroes will be defined by the quality and quantity of the RP you write about them, but as I said, stats can change.
