LGBT rampage

I saw this first get posted when I woke up, around 8am...
It's now 10:30pm, and the thread hasn't been around that long if you compare posting times from my first post to this one.

Plenty of time had passed, I know it's been seen in our media flooded USA at least.
It was just being ignored, because it doesn't fit the agenda.

well it seems to fit the (someones?) agenda now... ;)

My biggest agenda is playing devil's advocate and pointing out hypocrisy... so, yes, it does!

You should see the arguments I get into with solid Repubs out there... you'd be amazed.
Since this board is so dominated by the other end of the spectrum, most of my energy goes there.

When has a librul posted a one-wounded shooting as a rampage? Or are you attempting an pwn goal on the hypocrisy front?

Another guy taking the "it has to be effective" route... rather than the intent.
Look, just because this jerk was incompetent doesn't diminish what he wanted to do when he fancied himself a fighter for his cause.

According to the CNN article the police had not identified the shooter's motivation. However, since you apparently are privy to information you really should contact the DC police department to helpt them with the investigation.

Oh, so we can't draw any conclusions...
Let's see, LGBT volunteer totes around a Chick-Fil-A bag and infiltrates a far right group by pretending to fit in as a racist, bigotted intern. Seems like politics had nothing to do with it, good call.

I gave you the contact info for the DC police department. Why not give them a call and offer your psychologic profiling results?

Politically motivated?
Or a wacko?

Let's see who comes out of the woodworks here...
This type of attack was obvioulsy planned out in advance. It is disgusting, and just goes to show, extremism happens everywhere... not just white, right wing, Christian tea party members...

Why can't it both be a wacko and politically motivated?

And I fail to see the "rampage" part of this. Where was it again?

But, yes, all types of people can be morons. It is, unfortunately, not the sole rights of the right. (unfortunately because the fewer fanatical idiots out there the better).

Intent is just as important as execution of intent, wouldn't you agree?
The guy was a bumbling moron, and failed at his mission... Or do you think he only wanted to wound one and call it a day?

No, definitely not.
The maiming and killing is the important part. People can change their intention, and legally, intentions are a because not only can they be hard to prove, they can be used as a rubber charge. "He obviously intended to kill all gays your honour, he said so himself", yeah, but people sometimes say things they don't mean.

Intent should definitely be used as a additive measure to the severity of the crime, but not as a crime unto itself. There should be a difference between manslaughter, accident and murder. But intent in and of itself, is dangerous as it is easy too misuse, and the system certain does not need more ways it can be misused.

Well, it's not surprising to see you defending this violent attack, since you are so extreme and bigotted against those who don't think like you.

How is saying that it should be condemned defending it?

I don't condone violence, but the title is misleading, you should work for Fox News, you're pretty good!

So they had it coming?
What part of "While any act of handgun violence such as this should obviously be condemned, as it was quite quickly by numerous LGBT groups..." gave you that impression? Did I claim or even insinuate that homophobic hate groups should be subjected to violent acts, which they quite likely foster among other homophobes with their incessant hate mongering?

Here's some great irony:

‘‘Today’s attack is the clearest sign we've seen that labeling pro-marriage groups as ‘hateful’ must end,’’ Brian Brown, the president of the National Organization for Marriage, said in a statement.
Meanwhile, no mention of the actual hate group being less hateful towards homosexuals...

Looks like everybody is shooting everybody else. But hey, now we can blame gay people for something. That's good for the whole family, right?

I will never tolerate intolerance, and one shooting is hardly going to change my mind. I will never view the attempts to call homosexuals pedophiles/etc as 'opinion' either. This has to be fought, even if it's politically difficult.

This shooter didn't make it easier, either. I have no idea who the security guard was, but I feel bad for him. Even if he was one of the gaybashers he doesn't deserve to be shot, but in all likelyhood he was just a guy who needed a job.

Oh, and if you could pre-check it for relevance and meshing with reality, it may stop you from getting owned on this board.
Kochman, you posted the above just recently in a different thread and then started a thread about a person getting shot for unclear reasons as an "LGBT rampage", so perhaps you should take your own advice in future.

I think its the poisinious political culture created by toxic LGBT firebrands.
