They are low maintenance, but if you neglect them they will die.

My cat would murder any living plant I had, so I don't keep plants.

My black cat tries to eat any plants we get. So I got a cactus.

She pushed the pot off the table and shattered it.

No more plants.

I'm pretty sure vet would say that the cat is missing some nutrients, but I guess you know that already.

I give her some cat grass, but she ignores it. I'm pretty sure the only reason she destroys the plants is because she knows she isn't allowed.

Sounds like a cat. Mine likes walking in keyboard or pushing the keyboard off the desk. Sometimes he's crashed the PC via button presses.

Years ago, my cat accidentally posted on CFC.

In terms of supporting life I'd say felines score #1 by a huge margin in terms of how much emotional reward you get for the effort of maintaining them (in my case about $50 a year for high quality grain free dry food and maybe $200-300 in medical costs and let's say 30min per month emptying litter box).

I love dogs too but they are about 20x the work albeit for slightly higher reward (although cats love you less they have a grace and lack of neediness that makes their love feel more pure).

Plants improve air quality and are aesthetic but not much fun.

All cats are jerks all the time. That's why we love them. They are exactly like humans only cute and furry.

Some historical eg print of one of Christian West in 1235, some fantasy eg Dragon Pass in Glorantha
Your post made me go look for all of my old Dragon Pass games; I had all three. But alas, it looks like I sold them a decade ago when I sold off 90% of my game collection. :( Those were wonderful games done creatively. I did find my copies (made by the British Museum) of the Borodino Battlefield maps done by the Russian Military in 1839 for war games. The original in is the BM. Put together the map is about 4' x 5' and very detailed.

Do you like/collect old maps or atlases?

Some old maps when they depict a place and time I'm interested in. I've got some of Anglo-Saxon and Norman England, Wales before the conquest, Eastern Med in the Crusades era.
My brother is the real map enthusiast in the family. He has lots of maps and atlases, and as many globes as he can find space for, even an orrery.

I lost my copies of Dragon Pass and Nomad Gods along with a load of old Runequest stuff when I moved back to Cardiff from London

If you're interested, you can get King of Dragon Pass on GOG.com for cheap. It's a fun video game even though I'm bad at it.
