occ arg! forgot to send orders :wallbash: was at a friend and i slept over so couldn't really get to a comp sorry

I love it when a plan comes together :D

To the many and various nations of Valusia
From the Hyperborean Suzrainity and her great and noble allies

We thank you for the kind reception we have recieved in your lands and hope this is but the start of cordial relations across the ocean.

To the nations of the Mediterranean (New Atlantis, Karthage, Balarica, Illyria, Ur)
From the Hyperborean Suzrainity

We are interested in setting up a colony with a large warp portal somewhere in your central sea, greatly facilitating trade as the mighty and bitter ocean could be crossed with a single step.
To this end we would like to purchase from one of you an island/archepeligo with these requirements;
-sufficent size for a large city, numerious port and holding facilities, and some smalll areas of farmland/fishing in the vacinity to cheaply support the needs of the populace
-over 10 milies away from any other major cities to prevent magical interference
-a deep water harbour.
We are willing to pay handsomly for such a trading post, and not to mention the bonuses that establishing trade routes would bring, and are willing to negociate with any strictures you wish to place on our sovereignty.

Pleae contact us in Karthage with any plans you wish to propose.

(P.s to Ur - Rhodes would be nice ;) )

1 economy point will buy roads for 2-4 cities, depending on the distance covered by road.

Yay! Avatars are back! Does anyone know how to make the background blend in?

Rodos it is. You may set up a warp portal there, and travel freely from there.

@Ur

Thank you for your prompt response, but we will see if any other nations wish to host the trading post before making a final decision.

While we consider your offer do a)you wish to place any restriction on military force and the like b) would our ships have free passage even in times of war and c) how much money do you want?

@Israelite9191- You had a week to send orders beforehand. And you would have lost that economy level anyway. It's hard to be occupied for a century without experiencing something of an economic downturn.

We will not restrict what is sent through this 'portal' unless it has a detrimental effect on our nation (ie, you sell weapons to our enemies). Our price is 3 economy points over 3 turns. You can do whatever you want to the island.

From Elgovia
To Hyperborean Suzerainty
We are willing to pay two-thirds of the cost of creating a warp gate to Valusia if we may use it too.
Let us also sign a full, formal alliance.

Spoiler :
Let us also consider plans for the crushing of the barbarians arising in the far west.

We wish to begin trading with you in earnest.

When will our people become more numerous, our economy stronger, our knowledge greater?
(For the OOC among you: When do the stats update!?!?)

Stats are definitely updated before Tuesday.

Oh, I've changed the economic system in a way that hasn't affected anyone yet. You have to wait 3 turns to get your first eco. point from trade, 2 for the next, and 1 eco per turn after that.

I had an idea for a different economic system, but I'll tell you about it later.

The Indus empire continues to grow at a steady pace. Their efforts to put tremendous manpower into completing their magical forge are fairly successful, though inefficient (you can normally only put one point into wonder construction, but since you put so many in I'll let you get away with it this time, though there was some wasted economy and many workers died from exhaustion).
(-500 population)
\

So wheres this surprise effect you promised me?

Lord_Iggy: Were any of the 18 Dur Khazians I saved Necromancers? Or high-ranking officials? Or were they just normal citizens?

The wonder is one turn from completion. You put all of your economy points into wonder construction, but normally you can only put in one per turn. So I figured that you just 'rushed' it, so I gave you 3 points of production and had the last one wasted to represent the inefficiency of rushing things.

Hmmm, rushing projects... sounds interesting. Naaah, Antarcticans would never stand for it.

Actually, I had some plans in mind, that is what I was talking about. I know I had a week, which is why I don't have any complaints or anything. What I meant was that if I had been online yesterday, I would most definately have seen that I missed my orders and sent them immediately.

I'm considering my next great project, and I'm undecided between these two:

Halls of Chaos (+3 mages a turn, +1 loyalty)
Institute a program of many small, localized training grounds for anyone wishing to become a mage, thus uniting the people by offering magic to all.

Settler Pact (doubled expansion rate, +100 army)
Proclamation: Any group of twenty or more people wishing to found a settlement more than ten miles outside Elgovian borders and at least three miles from any other such settlement are to be given an amount of money, resources and military support to sustain the colony in the first month.
Also, Chaosiers will manufacture magical Claimant Flags that explorers may plant to indicate Elgovian claim on an area of land.

How long would each of these take?

@Disenfrancised: Have received your proposal. I'm currently finding a good bit of parchment, mangling the language archaic, and suggesting things like placing point 4 under MA 1. Don't answer just yet, I'll send you a full version sometime tomorrow (I hope).

Erik what type of magic are you using, doesnt say in the stats, obviously something chaos related but what?

EDIT:map still doesnt have roads. /end nag
