LINES-World of Magic

Guys, I sense (know) that this is a long-lived NES that updates more then fairly regularly, LordIggy however is not the kind who updates the stat.s with the story before it's been about three-to-six days.
Do you need a co-mod? I could help, it's a good NES; ye've all been kind and nice and Silversteak is in it so I'd love to crunch some stat.s.
I'm cutting down on other NESes anyways.

Oh and as long as I'm shamelessly meta-gaming, would you care to explore down a bit further Silvah? You can trust me in this game, I'm neutral good here. Besides we know each other, it wouldn't stop. ;)
If we become allies I will be loyal.

Diplomacy to the northerners of Hawaii from Antarctica

We request funds to train more clerics of the Ice for our war effort. Failure to comply will result in Antarctican withdrawal from the expeditionary force.

To Ross, Biss and Tika

Ever thought of using divine magic and magic to return the undead to their graves? Penguins are brave and intelligent creatures, we would not hesitate to send advisors to teach you the awesome powers of our clerics and mages. It's also a shame that we should be required to waste penguin and man-power on the Hawaiian war, the islanders should obviously supply fresh amounts of bodies while we dispose of the menace. Are the northerners not inept? We piss on the grave of their ancestors. Soon they will request our men and women to take care of their children as all their men have fallen into shallow, undecorated graves.

[This is obvious but most Antarcticans have the mental flaws of 'enmity' and 'aversion' towards all humans to the north... all of you in other words.]

Such aversion could bring you trouble that even your holy clerics of Ice could not save you...

OOC:I hate the stereotype Light beats Darks stuff......

From: Hawaii
To: Antarctica

We are unfortunately unable to provide you with more funds. If you withdraw, we are perfectly prepared to detach South America from the rest of the Americas completely. Then it won't be our problem...

The dead can swim.

Oh Cleric, if you wanted, you could make a UU that is 'Deadly against Holy magic' if you wanted.

From Elgovia
To Songhai

We are more than willing to trade, given your unexpected but not unwelcome aid in the war against Karthage.

[OOC]
Iggy, how much of a bonus to I get for that huge story? :D

Cleric, you have two basic choices. The one is to look at it (or get Iggy to look at it) this way: Holy > Dark
Dark > Everything else
Anything else > Holy.

The other is to bring up some UNholy symbols and UNholy priests (grab a D&D rulebook for tips) and start casting evil spells and emanating unholy auras that only affect those who are "pure" (read weak) of heart.

@Silver Steak: Oosquai? Been reading a little too much WoT, have we? At least I'm honest about my references.[/OOC]

Hey, I WAS going to refer it back to it's original source! I just forgot it! Like noone else in the NES has read Jordan. He's HUGE! Oh, sorry. Going OT again. Oh, and thanks for the trade. A bit far to Elgovia or to your mediterranian outpost, though. May our nations flourish!

I've updated the permanent NPC stats. I'm changing the population system, 1 hundred is now 1 thousand, except for UUs, Magic, and Navy. But they'll be 10 times more powerful. So no difference in play, but big difference in realism.

And, as a second thought, could you add, in the first posts or something, the current diplomatic statuses of the world? It's a bit mixed-up from my POV :)

Third thing, whatever happened to the road network I asked you to put eco in?

EDIT: Enough posting - Disen, I meant a general table of who was in war with whose cousin last update :) But I can piece together most of it by closely examining the update text..

Heh that makes my project mighty useful... :D

The archmage of all Vol'kiss rubbed his temples, the fatigue of being awake for days taking it's toll. His normally flamboyant mane was greasy and unkempt, his eyes shone red. Recently, he had been drained by an intense study of ancient tomes, trying to find a way to activate magma torrents on the other side of the globe. The magma spirits had told him that something vile, something that opposed nature could be felt. The Geomancer was no fool, and soon realized that the aberrations the spirit spoke of would certainly be undead. What the archmage didn't know, however, was a way to lend aid to anyone battling the shells of undeath. Emperor Tarask, himself, had appeared concerned while surveying the spellcaster, yet Sharen - a name which had become a general title used for the Archmage of Vol'Kiss - had retorted that he needed no sleep, and snapped at every answer the Emperor had. He fully well realized he could hang for his insolence, but would certainly not sleep before he felt it absolutely necessary. Undeath disgusted him.
With a weary sigh, he reached for the scripture he'd laid on his table and flicked a page. To Sharen's surprise, it revealed a highly complex method of manipulating some of the greater magma currents, and with sufficient power, even cause minor movement of the geological plateaus the world's surface consisted of. With ever-growing excitement, Sharen flicked through the entire chapter, understanding the mechanics of the magic.. And trembling at what it required. To cause the slightest movement, a massive Geomagical power would be needed. He was doubtful that even the Seven Arcanists, the Archmages of Vol'Kiss, could handle it. Yet they simply had to try.

@Lord_Iggy: Could you please tell me which nations I have contact with? Remember, I sailed through the Panama Canal, so I should know some of those countries. And it seems like every Penguin nation helped against the necromancers, so I should know them all. And I practically border Kojaro, so I should know them. Could you confirm these, and tell me which other countries I know?

Also, could you add stats for Dur Veliz? I've been encouraging their growth for 3 centuries now... Must...have...puppet state!

Could you answer this?

Dur Veliz is like a barbarian nation. They're only organized because of your aid. They won't leave their island, but they'll fight if they or you are attacked.

And you know every pacific nation except Hyperborea and Elgovia. But you'll meet them next turn probably.

Yes, you know all of antarctica too.

He must know at least Hyperborea - they contacted the Haida after all and we now occupy their territory, also we do all kinds of stuff in the Caribbean - surely we've met?

In fact I rememeber some diplomacy happening between us earlier!

C'mon Robert Jordan would be a hack if he only did what Tom Clancy does... and reading his books are like reading about some undecisive high-level party schmoozing around and making leeeuveee. There is Matt though and miss girly magician but they are occasionaly demeaned by their author. Who knows, Matt will probably marry sooner or later and Rand will add miss girly magician to his list of 'conquests'. *sigh*
I'm glad I've only read about half of two books and four fifths of one book altogether, poor characters of high pixelation and colors.
...

To Hawaii from Antarctica

Very well, we are saddened because we do not wish to leave the Penguin colonies to such an ill fate.

To Ross from Antarctica

You must talk some sense into our ally, why did you ever convince us to go north and find these humans?

To Hawaii from Vol'Kiss:

If you consider it helpful, we will gladly lend 45 Geomancers to assist you in repelling the undead threat.
