LINES-World of Magic

Uh... Iggy, what the smeg happened to my ground offensive on Karthage?

BTW, Terrish, I asked a mod about that recently and he said that threads above 3000 posts are a heavy load on the forum. So it'll be a while yet.

At least you were mentioned in the update... I feel left out. Are my stats changed?

WTH my 4 eco spell seems horribly underpowered...magical suppresion on a 4 eco spell, why are you doing this to me?:(  .....shouldnt they have starved to death....not to mention black orbs of doom orbiting about and firing deadly bolts of energy. There shouldnt be a living thing in Iberia and Baleria.

*mumble grumble* :gripe:

What, you wanted another Azathoth's Shadow?

<WarcraftII mode>There can only be one.</WarcraftII mode>

I wonder where the Kojaro went... :mischief:

From Elgovia
To Songhai

According to the agreement you signed earlier and are perfectly aware of, you owe us three di'naars. Pay now, or we will consider our relations with you null and void and take our rights by force. You have already seen what happened to Karthage.

Yeah I wanted to smack New Atlantis real good...if there were no silly magical suppresion the pain would really maifest.

Bah. I wouldn't mind joining the war on Karthage's side, but I will pay you. I do have concerns for my personal integrity, it's just stupid that ooc stuff should interfere with the NES. :p I did agree on the bet, so here you go:

Three di'naari will be transferred from Songhai to Elgovia to prop up their lack of competence in the war aginst Karthage. :p

Edit: Deleted Because Of Iggy's Post Below.

I knew that this would be a disliked update. Sorry.

First. OMG! I can't believe I missed a majour thing like that! Here's a mini-update for the Elgovian assault on Karthage.

The combined Elgovian/Hyperborean army, pleased with the expansion of Azathoth's shadow, then proceeded to march back into the Karthaginian mainland. They attacked through the Khemri border, and smashed their way through fierce (though hopelessly outnumbered) Karthaginian resistance.

The invading forces made it all the way to Karthage, where the Karthaginian army made its last stand. After a long and fierce battle, they finally fell. Karthage is once again in enemy hands. But resistance all over the empire is fierce. The allied attackers have a big job on their hands to keep Karthage under control.
(-1 Karthaginian economy level, -3 thousand infantry, -1 thousand archers, -1 loyalty, -4 thousand Elgovian infantry, -2 thousand Elgovian archers, -2 thousand Hyperborean infantry)

No map, but Karthage and its eastern cities are under Elgovian control now. alex994, you can continue as a weakened nation's strong resistance to occupiers, or take an NPC, or make a whole new nation.

SS: Nothing was worth mentioning, and I was pressed for time.

Cleric: You were badly outnumbered, and New Atlantis isn't a nation of idiots. You could try for a peace deal.

I hate you Lord Iggy, my hate is too great. I hate you sooo much :p

Please answer me over PM where my navy and magical forces are at right now ;)

So am I an idiot for spending 4 eco on a spell that did jack ****?

How then the Karhagians didnt block the motherfin shadow?

OOC:Also what Balerian force I had all their lands in my grip, did I not?Or was there some tiny island left where they somewhow can support a small army when their economy is practicly non-existant?

To Elgovia and Hyperboea
From Karthage

No son of Karthage will sumit to a foreign ruler. We will fight you to the death!(However if you leave right now, we will not follow)

Well, Azathoth's Shadow was two types of magics both trying to rip apart the fabric of the universe, so it wasn't very blockable.
If you like, we can push it northwest for you, though :p

Yay Iggy for that little addition to the update! :D :D :D

Look, you never managed to cast the spell where you had planned it, it was rushed. You can use it again for free some other time, because the eco. you spent on it was spent for research, not because a spell absorbs gold.

So how many banked spending points do I really have? 1 or 3?

I never really thought that the spell would absorb rescourses, rather the rescourses would be sacrificed in the Soul Vortex and it would spew back magic power for the spell.Or at least thats how I imagined it.

But what is done is done,I'm seing this through till the end,be it good or bad for me.Question tho,did they really know how to make an effective quarantine back in the Iron Age?The earliest i remember of an effective quarantine is RL 1400s Dubrovnik with the 40 day isolation period on that island.

Ignorant Westerner :p My splendid and glorious Chinese ancestors have been practicing the art of quaratine ever since the era of the Warring States. A few hundred years before BC. ;)

First, New Atlantis was part of the most advanced civilization on earth, and they have worked hard to keep all of Atlantis' knowledge. And it wasn't so much a quarantine as simple magical supression, which everyone magical can do.
